COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, seasonal
single hop simcoe IPA
This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Pale color. Intense hopping with some fruity notes and a decent bitterness in the finish that develops more in the aftertaste.

Very pale orange color with small head. Intense Simcoe aroma, sticky-sweet peaches. Taste is sticky-fruity and bitter. Good!

From a 330ml bottle on 3/12/2014. Pours a clear deep golden with a tiny head. The nose is rather pleasant with lots of tropical and stone fruit. The flavour starts out with some sweet bready malt, followed by peach, pear and apricot, and finishes with moderate to strong, lingering, sticky hops. Has a fullish body and medium carbonation. A very well made IPA, if not particularly noteworthy.

Merry christmas! The best christmas IPA this year. Bittersweet hoppy IPA with just a hint of pomerance and... Is it almond I taste? Just like Britney, Brew Dog can sing "Oops, I did IT again"...

Draught at BrewDog Bristol on 22 Nov. Poured a clear amber, with a dense white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple and kiwi. Marmalade flavours, with some hay and melon. Finish was peal, dry straw and resin. Very nice, but not all that Christmassy...

From a bottle. Pours clear dull amber, huge grassy hop aroma, small lasting head, medium bitterness with a grape fruit tinge. Very nice stuff.

The head is good, the body brown-amber. It smells hoppy, fruity, tree, The taste is hoppy, fruity, creamy, bit bitter, grassy, Something between Punk and Hardcore IPA

(Bottle) Clear amber with slight white head. Fantastic aroma of citrus and pineapple. Great mouthfeel, slightly sticky, full body with bright and velvety carbonation. Extraordinary, and excellent, taste that combines a rich malty sweetness with plenty of very nice hop flavours, with some pine and citrus up front and plenty of bitterness in a very long finish. There’s a bit if alcohol burn and some peppery hints too. A very impressive beer - I plan to get a few in for the festive season.

Bien!

Bottle. Really clear golden colour, Decent amount of hops without going over the top, medium mouthfeel makes it sessionable. Nice enough.
