2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2014 Draft as Voodoo Doll @ Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, 10/12-13. Sign says "6,7%"
App: Slight hazy orange amber with an exploding huge and thick white head.
Aroma: Creamy fruity aroma with fruit toffee, just a tiny hint of butter, pear candy, pears, some rubber, wet hay.
Taste: Sweet, mandarins, peach, litchi, pears, crackers/bread, slight perfumy late bitterness, some hard booz.
Palate: Medium bodied, soft carbonation, a bit oily, alcohol.
Overall: It was bad at SBWF and it’s still bad. Odd rubbery note, weird aroma and flavour that seems to lack something with focus on pears and mandarins. Weak and harsch at the same time.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, bought @ Kvickly, Middelfart.
Pours clear golden with a small, creamy, white film head. Aroma is lovely, peach, resin, light oily, som spiciness. Low carbonation, fine dry and quite oily mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit harshly bitter, pine, peach, grapefruit. Lingering heavy bitter finish. A bit of a phenolic note.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clean amber bodied and stable head. Very piney which I’m sure was the idea behind a hoppy Christmas. Not woody or spicy, as typical Christmas beers, but a clean hop based beer that’s rather refreshing than warming. Body is light bitter for the style and a bit too clean to be interesting. And a Christ’s beer can be eccentric and over the top. This isn’t. This is a clean ipa that drinks nice enough but reminds me nothing of a special, warming, wintery or eclectic Christmas spirit. More of an after work thirst quencher. (33cl bottle from Bootlegger)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Batch 229: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Medium sized creamy off white foamy head on top of an almost clear orange colored beer.
Aromas of hop flowers, resin, pine, apricot, bark, citrus, light spice, malt and a creamy touch. Mostly sticky hop flowers and sticky hop pine/resin/citrus tones.
Flavours of resin, pine, pine needles, hop flowers, some citrus, light dry, light spice, nice bitter, sticky herbs, some hints of orange, peach and yeast with a barky edge.
Aftertaste is hop flowery with citrus and bitters, light peachy and some herbal malty bitters.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy texture.
Not bad but a bit one dimensional yet quite easy as well...

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013 as Voodoo Doll. Almost clear golden with an off-white head. Quite strong citric aroma with pine and some caramel malt. Flavor is refreshing fruity, pine, some marmalade and rather bitter. Medium body and bitter, fruity aftertaste. Another fine IPA from Brewdog.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Clear orange in glass, with solid, slightly yellow head. Aroma of orange marmelade with pineapples, grass and hint of light caramel. Taste is hoppy bitter, nicely balanced. Full, rich body with slick texture, lively carbonated. Lingering dry orange finish. This is very nice seasonal single hop IPA, definitely drink another one.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from saveur-biere.com. Amber clear body with a medium, creamy, white head. Great aroma of orange, grapefruit, pine, citrus, grass, caramel. Taste is sweet, with orange, tropical fruits, pine, malt, some grass, some spices. Medium body with creamy texture and a smooth, moderate bitter, orange peel finish. A very good, unique IPA, with a nice orange touch and an unusual smoothness, that realises the christmas IPA concept very well.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2013 The bit in between light and dark in colour, fairly thin but tight head that peters away. Nice body on it. Aroma is strong sweet fruity orange malty thing. Taste to follow with a big Pineapple flavour and slight bitter thing that lingers and comes back to say hello. As with a lot of brew dog beer its very fruity. On the sweeter side of things. Tremendous. Merry Xmas.
