This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Bottled;God damn vibrant nose ..grass -fat hops-giving birth to oranges .. Poured out looking like any other IPA ive ever seen. Too rich to agree with my palate ..hops are sappy and not floral.

December 5, 2014. On tap at Brewdog Bar Stockholm. Clear amber with a minimal frothy white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, light butter notes, pine and citrus. Taste is light to medium sweet with a medium bitterness, citrus, caramel, pine and notes of higher alcohol. Medium bodied, average carbonation.

Aroma has grapefruit, pineapple and passion fruit. Pours amber with thin head that leaves some lacing. Taste has a perfect balance between heavy bitterness from hops and medium sweetness from malts. Medium body supports the beer well. Soft to medium carbonation and long bitter finish. Overall an excellent IPA.

Warka do 4.08.2015r.

Again, huge thanks Jablanko/Filip :p. Batch 389. Poured a dark amber body with a creamy white head. The aroma is quite pungent, somewhere between grapefruit and tropical fruit, but not as fresh as I’d liked. Creamy though, if slightly ashy and with a distinct presence of alcohol. The taste is disappointing. Empty, herbal/grapefruity aroma, some pleasant citric notes, on a slightly candyish malty body. Put it feels like there’s a hole in the middle of everything. Ends somewhat dry again, sweetish and grapefruity. A letdown.

Bottle from BD Online shop.Pours clear gold orange, head disappears to patches. Nose of orange, pineapple, sweet tropical, plus some caramel. Tastes medium sweet caramel malt, medium bitter, loads of juicy fruit aromatics, bittersweet orange, pineapple, guava, lychee. Body is medium, texture is oily/creamy, carbonation is softish. This isn’t the most complex IPA, nor the most bitter, but it’s juicy as hell and well put-together.
