This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

I loved this IPA from Brewdog. The second best one with the Jack Hammer. I’ve been quite disappointed with this brewery lately, but this one is really good! Nose full of pineapple, taste very balanced with a light bitterness. A great and very well balanced IPA which is hard to find!

Perfect example of a clean and easy to drink yet very hoppy IPA. Nice one. A reference in my opinion. Nice citrus bite, very rich fruity flavor. Slick and enough malt character to give this beer a good balance.

Tap at Brewdog Edinburgh, 31-12-2014. Dark blonde with a small white head. Hoppy, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes the same hops and fruit, Nice IPA

Bottle at home on Christmas Eve when I was supposed to be peeling potatoes, making Christmas butter and trimming Brussels sprouts. I was panicking a wee bit for sure but hey ho ho ho.. About the beer.. well- hopped good strong IPA. No sign of festiveness tho. A lot of citrus. Sharp bitter finish.

Ambrée orange clair, translucide. Mousse blanche. Bons lacings.

From Brewcraft. Clear honey-amber with thin sudsy white head and some spotty lacing. Smells very fruity - tangerine, mango, papaya, peach with resinous piney hop. Great aroma. Tastes bitter, resinous, ends on dry slightly malty, peppery note. Body is thick, slick, crisp, bitter. Fantastic.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Clear copper orange pour with minimal bubbly head. Aroma is big fruity hops with piney malty undertone. Pine aroma has an almost sneeze-inducing quality. Good. Taste is really nice. White grape, pineapple, resin, very crisp. Not in your face hoppiness, but lots of subtle flavors. Really good. Only taste hints of "Christmas" spice around the edges - which is good in my view.

Good balance of hoppiness and maltiness. Bitterness is well covered by maltiness and it pleasantly lingers on palate. Citrusy and malty aroma through to the well-balanced taste by sipping. Should try!

On tap at Beergeek. Very nice beer! Very drinkable with a lot of hop flavours - floral, citrus, pine, pinaple. I will now look for simcoe single hopped beers ;)
