COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, seasonal
single hop simcoe IPA
This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Bottle. Small fizzy head. Clear yellow color. Aroma of peach, passion fruit, citrus, mango, mellon. Over the palate came passion fruit, mango, fruit, citrus. Light body, dry texture, average carbonation. Light bitter and sweet. Light lingering mango and citrus finish.

Clean amber bodied and stable head. Very piney which I’m sure was the idea behind a hoppy Christmas. Not woody or spicy, as typical Christmas beers, but a clean hop based beer that’s rather refreshing than warming. Body is light bitter for the style and a bit too clean to be interesting. And a Christ’s beer can be eccentric and over the top. This isn’t. This is a clean ipa that drinks nice enough but reminds me nothing of a special, warming, wintery or eclectic Christmas spirit. More of an after work thirst quencher. (33cl bottle from Bootlegger)

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique 010115. This is a big full flavoured hoppy beer. Deep orange with a big head, plenty of passionfruit and a touch of melon also. Nott a beer for the beginner.

Bottle. Pours clear tea/amber with airy but stable off-white head. Intense, hoppy aroma, with notes of clear notes of grass and citrus. Bitter, hoppy taste, with citric kotes and sweetish, malty touches. Hints of needles. Bitter finish. Discernible alcohol presence. Nice.
