3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg @ Brewdog Manchester. The pour’s deep amber with a small white head. The nose is big pine needle, resinous tree sap. Earthy conifer forest, like a punch to the face from the pacific northwest. Mild pineapple sweet aromas. The taste is sweet pineapple, papaya and melon tropical fruit salad. Some salted cheddar. Salty driftwood on the medium bitter finish. Nice vibrancy, lively on the palate. Overall, this is actually quite good. Nice.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. My first beer as a new daddy. Here’s to you Dex! Could’ve gone for something big, but was too tired ;-) Clear golden amber colour, white head. Aroma of lots of hops, pine, grapefruit, citrus, some resin. Flavour is light to medium-sweet, honey, pine, resin, grapefruit, citrus, hint of grapes, smooth bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Nice IPA, resembles the Jack Hammer IPA a lot imho.

Bottle (Voodoo Doll). Great refreshing tropical fruits hoppiness in both nose and mouth. Not overly bitter, but manages a punch. ( or a Voodoo Doll pinch). In the end not too scary, though.

Flavours of resin, pine, pine needles, hop flowers, some citrus, light dry, light spice, nice bitter, sticky herbs, some hints of orange, peach and yeast with a barky edge.

Thx! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Nog-een-half-jaar-tot-de-volgende-EBT”. Blond Christmas beers seem to be all the rage / the hip thing to do these days. Orange, little white head. Nose is sweetish sticky pine resin, peel, touch caramel malts. Taste is touch metallic, bitter orange, tad caramel base. Med. Body. Okay. Bottled on 01/10/2014.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at Brewdog Camden. Amber / dark orange with a thin off white head. Exoctic fruit aromas, little bit of sweetness as well. Hop bitterness is biting, but mellows a lot when it warms up slightly. Malt and hop are well balanced. Medium body and slightly chewy / resinous.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. 15cl sample. The aroma is strong hoppy has tropical fruits, some grass/hay/vegetable. Clear, copper coloured beer with a medium, white head. The taste is moderate bitter, perfect clean. Has some biscuity notes, but on the far background. The beer is dominated by hops and hops alone. Nice tropical fruits, but unfortunately also some vegetable tones I really don’t enjoy.
