COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, seasonal
single hop simcoe IPA
This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Flaske 0,33l - Voodoo Doll 6,8% - kjøpt på Vinmonopolet i Brønnøysund og drukket på rom 208 på Elite Plaza Hotel i Örnskjöldsvik 31 Okt 13. Gyldenbrun. Middels høyt skum som varer noen minutter. God fruktaroma. Ananas & aprikos. Litt for mye kullsyre. Smaken er syrlig frukt. Får preg av tørket frukt etter hvert med en svakt bitter avslutning.

Bottle 33cl, a clear amber beer with good head. Nose is very hopy on pine. Aroma is on fresh hops, melon, almond and grapefruit. Properly done but very near the other new beer from the brewery, became boring.

Draught @ OlutExpo 2013

Pours clear yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma of stingy fruity hops, citrus, crisp maltiness and lemon. Taste is stingy fruity with hints of crisp maltiness and lemon. Finish is stingy and fruity with hints of crisp maltiness. Okay, but quite untypical for a single hop Simcoe IPA.

Clean amber bodied and stable head. Very piney which I’m sure was the idea behind a hoppy Christmas. Not woody or spicy, as typical Christmas beers, but a clean hop based beer that’s rather refreshing than warming. Body is light bitter for the style and a bit too clean to be interesting. And a Christ’s beer can be eccentric and over the top. This isn’t. This is a clean ipa that drinks nice enough but reminds me nothing of a special, warming, wintery or eclectic Christmas spirit. More of an after work thirst quencher. (33cl bottle from Bootlegger)
