Bottled, seasonal
single hop simcoe IPA
This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Bottle Pours clear blonde, touch of amber , rather small white head Smell is very intense hops , pine, typical brewdog . Taste is nice hops, some pine again . slightly malt notes . Very good, as usually when you drink a brewdog IIPA / IPA , but they have so many , that I start to fail to taste big differences in between them.. Very good though , just nothing to go out of your way off, when you can get Hardcore so much more easy .

33cl bottle Batch 229 BBE 01.10.2014 Pours as golden pine resin. Cloudy, citrusy, grassy and with a loads of cloves. Everything is perfect about this beer: texture, taste, aroma are so simple and so complex at the same time, that I do not have words to describe it. X-mass in July - that is what you want. Perfect brew.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2014 Hazy amber color, average sized white head. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very fruity, huge tropical fruits aroma, citrusy hops. Oily texture. Medium sweet, light bitter taste. Refreshing and easy to drink. This is surely the best session ale I ever had. Christmas in tropical paradise.

Bottle 330 ml from a trade with Countbeer, thanks! Poured into a tulip. ABV 7.2% Deep orange colour on the body, clear, with a small froathy white head. Average retention, light lacing on the glass. Aroma of cookie dough, orange peel, light grapefruit after a deep sniff. Taste follows the aroma, cookie dough, orange peels, orange flavoured biscuit, some tropical fruits, moderate bitterness on the finish going all the way on the aftertaste. Medium thin body with good carbonation, mildly dry palate. Nothing too exciting but a very good simcoe IPA though.

0,33l bottle. Copper color with quickly disappearing white head that left nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, passion fruits, elder and pineapple. Taste is medium bitter with great hoppy flavours, mostly citrus and fruits. Medium body with average to lively carbonation. Overall it’s pretty good beer, with great aroma.
