3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2007
Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Pale gold, lasting beige head. Lager aroma, lots of hops though. Tastes like cardboardy lager, but then strong hop on finish. I mean, just not a good lager, never mind how many hops you through at it. But the hop is quite arresting. Anyway, I had another bottle of this which was colder and I rated it almost twice as high as before.

Bottle@chris_o. Floral, fruity and malty aroma. Clear, pale yellow color, white head, good lace. Malty, very bitter, floral. Nice mouthfeel, dry finish. Very present hops yet still highly drinkable.

Bottled - Chris O shindig 2007 - A blonde beer with some good piney hops in the aroma. The taste is hoppy but there are grassy lagerish notes to show what it really is. But by lager standards the flavours are good and the hop levels are pleasing.

A Mes rate:
33cl bottle at Chris O’s Shindig. Clean blonde with a white head. Sweet and fruity aroma with very very slight diacetyl but it doesn’t spoil it. Similar flavour with a tasty New Zealand hoppy character. More sweet fruityness, plenty grassy notes. Very tasty lager. This is how it should be done.

Bottle. Malty aroma and quite full bodied for a lager. Smooth lightly sweet malt at first. Finish is bitter and slightly grassy. This reminds of Lundgrens lager or another Swedish lager i’ve had. very nice. Dry and bitter.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2007 Aroma hits you with peppery bittering hops with caramel and biscuity malts. Taste is really bitter, carbonation is perhaps a bit much grassy peppery long finish. RERATE: Cask at blackfriers. Possibly one of the most attactive beers iv ever seen, perfect crustal clear with excellent lacing. Aroma has brewdog grassy, citrus, slightly cat piss, bready biscuity malts. Taste is excellent, again typical to brewdog, bittering, grassy dry super drinkable.
