Keg & Bottled, special
We’ve dubbed this 2.8% beer an ‘imperial mild’ because it’s mild on alcohol but unquestionably imperial on flavour. Dry hopped with Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo this is an ale with a big character that belies its small ABV.

Bottled. I love this mild ale due to its full flavor but very low alcohol. A perfect soft drink! Hoppy, bitter chocolate, some bitter exotic fruits, watery and refreshing in taste. I would definitely love an alcohol free version of this awesomeness.

Draught at BrewDog, Shepherd’s Bush on 15 March 2014. Poured a dark brown, with an off-white head. Smokey aroma, with notes of brown sugar and dark malts. Initial flavours of toasted malt, brown sugar and hay. Finish was rye bread, burnt wood chips and malt.

Bottle from BrewDog online shop (Nov 2013). Dark brown, creamy/frothy light brown head, chocolatey, biscuity malts, floral, grassy hops, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, light body, thin palate. An excellent mild.

Keg, BrewDog Brum, 26/03/14, and numerous bottles over Christmas not realising I was drinking a different beer to the original. Ruby with a sustained beige collar speckling the pint pot. Chunky and cask in feel with a mellow smoke and chocolate foundation quietly overpowered by dried flowers, chalk, rose and molten Quality Street strawberry cream-like notes. Beautiful.

On tap at Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Clear ruby colour lasting cream head. I remember when this first came out. Hoppy aroma. It’s still a fine example of lots of hops some lime chocolate flavour. Definitely tasty.

(bottle 05/03-2014) medium fading beige head, murky amber color, bitter, slim body, medium co2, caramel taste. Batch #216, BB date 12-09-14.

Bottle pours a dark ruby-brown ale with an abundant head which eventually died down. Aroma fruity hops. Taste thin body, mild malty sweetness, modest bitter finish I thought.

Bottle from Asahiya. Great hoppy nose, fruity citrus nice. The body is a bit light no surprise from the ABV & it pours a clear caramel brown. With a thin beige head. The taste is a zesty citrusy lemon & grapefruit hop bouquet with a caramel-biscuit body. Nice low ABV beer.

Bottle. Deep ruby liquid with medium to big off-white head. Aroma of citrus, bread, flowers and tangerine. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of bread, citrus and biscuit. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Ok.
