4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2013 2nd July 2012
On tap at Camden Brewdog. Light haze on this gold beer. Good white head. Light crispy palate. Minerals. A little creamy malt. Very mild hop. Trace of Columbus like earth and skunk here. Very mild citrus. Fresh crisp finish. It’s a decent refresh beer but a wimpy on flavour, especially from Brewdog. 3.1

Bottle. Almost clear gold beer, good white head. Wonderful nose of grass, mint, mango and apricot. Palate is light and softish, semi dry with mild carbonation. Flavour follows the nose and adds flowers. Finishes minerally and dry with minty coolness. Fresh but mild hop skunk throughout. Like night and day compared to what was on tap!

Bottle through a friend. Grassy and hoppy with dill and some green hops/hop bag. Fresh and probably works well in the summer time. The dill is not my thing though, I wonder if it’s from sorachi-like hops or if its due to the dry hopping.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Keg at BrewDog Camden, London. Pours clear, bright orange-gold with a frothy, white foam head. Classic urine hop BrewDog aroma, with hints of pineapple. Light to medium sweet flavor, lightly juicy with citrus, mild orange, faint old pee, some wet grass. It’s a well realised flavor, though it seems like maybe it should be a touch sweeter. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Mild sticky finish with some dry grass, light pee, modest ripe orange and pineapple, perhaps some mango. The sweetness quotient seems better balanced by the end. Overall this is an immensely drinkable beer. Very refreshing.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
50cl bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury, drunk at home. This surprised me a bit. The story, finding it at the Bottle Shop whilst still so young. Clear gold with thickish white head. Tropical fruit aroma. It does help that the malt base does match the hops. It’s pretty tasty, but like so many of the Brewdog beers lately there is just something empty about 2 thirds of the way through the mouthfeel/swallow. A lack of fullness. Decent bitterness and the fruit carries on throughout. Tasty melon and mango. Decent and better than some of the BrewDog’s of late. Yes decent.

Pours dark gold with steady carbonation and fluffy white head. Dusty mangoes nose. Quite sweet with tropical fruit hops and a sickly-sweet finish. A touch of pithy bitterness otherwise pretty one-dimensional

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On keg at the BrewDog Bar. Pours a light golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of gooseberries, grapefruit, pineapple and caramel. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Nicely dry and little thin with lingering vinous sauvignon blanc and oak characters.
