Re-Released as part of 2014 selection. @7.2%
One of our favourite American hops; all about the fruit. Think blood orange, orange zest and citrussy goodness fruit, the fruit is balanced by floral notes in the most classic of new wave IPA hops.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy deep golden, mid sized head. Minty sweaty grapefruit aroma. Fairly sweet with above medium body and rounded, somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Sugar, peppermint and grapefruit. Honey and white pepper in a long bitter finish. Too sweet, but a good match with the hops used.

Brewdog Shoreditch. Almost clear amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with a good carbonated sting. Minerals. A little malt cream with a trace of caramel. Good fresh hops, skunky grass, bitter pine and a pinch of mint. Surprisingly only a little citrus! Finishes with more smooth creamy malt and bitter pine that runs through to the aftertaste. Unusual Amarillo flavours but very nice.

Bottle from BottleDog London. Clear gold orange thin beige head. Hoppy aroma. Lovely tangerine and slightly peppery herbal aroma. Good solid Amarillo led IPA. Rather lovely to be honest. One of the better IPA is Dead series.

Bottle at Beer Hunters. Clear amber color, small white head, some lace. Aroma has piney, pineapple fruityness. Medium-bodied. Pineapple, citrus, sweet fruityness. Not bad beer but quite "standard" Amarillo single hop.

Leighton (10861) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 16, 2013
Keg at BrewDog Camden, London. Pours clear, deep gold with a small, creamy white head. Nose holds some urine, ripe citrus, nips of spicy pine. Medium sweet flavor with restrained bitterness, some drying orange, light grapefruit, hints of dank grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation, very light resinous grass to finish, some dry pine needles, orange, grapefruit, light pee, some dry pale malts. Well balanced overall but not particularly bright. Still, good and tasty.
