Re-Released as part of 2014 selection. @7.2%
One of our favourite American hops; all about the fruit. Think blood orange, orange zest and citrussy goodness fruit, the fruit is balanced by floral notes in the most classic of new wave IPA hops.

Pours amber with a large, lasting head. Nose shows orange peel, floral hops, orange marmalade, spicy notes and a fair whack of sweet clean malt. Lots more orange marmalade as a flavour along with some pine and resinous hops. Lots of malt sweetness too followed by an assertive bitterness to round things out. Nice moderately high carbonation works well.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2014 clear amber colour, medium yellowish head; aroma of floral hop, pine resin and hints of honey; taste is dominated by hoppy bitterness with some pine, maltyness, and honey again; low carbonation; great IPA; nothing special, but really drinkable original rating: 7/5/7/4/16 re-rated on 11.05.2014. to 8/4/8/4/16 - really good IPA with grapefruit, tropical fruits, pine resin and maltyness

Keg at Brewdog, Edinburgh, Scotland. Cloudy orange body, grassy and floral aroma and taste up front, peppery spice on the tongue! Lovely!

Keg @ Brewdog, Shoreditch. Presents a luscious citrus bouquet on the nose. Quite a fresh, vibrant taste with peach, apricot and orange with a great bitterness.

Draft the Beer Temple Amsterdam. Väldigt frisk och fräsch. Inte så där jättemycket beska men vägs upp sv den härliga fruktigheten! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank and reviewed 12March 2013 at BrewDog Glasgow. I find this to be very smooth and lacking the traditional bitterness of an IPA. Very pleasing to the pallat. BrewDog have extened their tradition of breaking the rules here.

Appearance: light amber, crystal clear with a medium sized and quickly dropping white head leaving average lacing.
Aroma: fresh citrus, tropical fruits, subtle notes of pine and resin.
Taste: sweet, with tropical fruit notes, some pine and some straw. Medium bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied, medium carbonation
Overall: this was the last one from this years IPA is Dead series, I had high expectations with this one and was not disappointed. It’s almost as good, or just as good as Comet. Overall 2014 edition of IPA is Dead is pretty awesome. You should try them all!

Clear deep amber, two finger dense foamy head, creamy white and long, lacing is good. Delicious arome has mandarin, mango, fresh tropical sweetnes, caramel malt, slightly bitter. Round soft feel, gentle carbonation, medium body, bittersweet, mildly roasted caramel malt stays to long finish. Good enough flavors to wish for a long finish. Really welldone, looks, smells and tastes good. Not the most complex one, more like minimalistic but ingredients are so good that this does not need more.

Nice dark golden colour, good, lasting white head. Aroma of... Wait for it... Amarillo hops! Not as in-your-face as other brew dog beers but it works. hoppy sweet taste - not overboard on the bittering, maybe could do worth a touch more but doesn’t leave a clawing sweetness, almost fruity with tropical flavours. Another great beer by a great brewer.

kraddel (3135) - some beerplace, BELGIUM - JUL 5, 2014
Bottle at barely legal tasting room Pours rather clear , blonde to orange , medium head . Smell is intense , Amarillo with a decent amount of maltyness . Taste is soo good . Amarillo really works in this one ! Light pine character , with lots of tropical fruityness . Aftertaste is somehow to light though , and the bitterness is not as intense as it could or should be
