One of our favourite American hops; all about the fruit. Think blood orange, orange zest and citrussy goodness fruit, the fruit is balanced by floral notes in the most classic of new wave IPA hops.

Brewdog Shoreditch. Almost clear amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with a good carbonated sting. Minerals. A little malt cream with a trace of caramel. Good fresh hops, skunky grass, bitter pine and a pinch of mint. Surprisingly only a little citrus! Finishes with more smooth creamy malt and bitter pine that runs through to the aftertaste. Unusual Amarillo flavours but very nice.

On tap at Tröls Biegarten. Fresh and dominated by citrus, grass, pine and tropical fruits. One of the better i’ve seen from Brewdog in a while.

Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass, ABV 7.2% Deep orange colour on the body, quite clear, thin white head on top, a bit froathy but with a good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass/ Aroma of orange peel, mandarines, a bit of grapefruit, just what yo expect form Amarillo hops. Taste follows, orange peels and mandarines, citrus, some pine too, with nice, long lasting bitterness. Medium thin body, good carbonation, quite dry palate. Overall an IPA offering exactly what you’re expecting as far as the hops used are concerned. Another high quality IPA from Brewdog, very good.

Countbeer (4311) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - JUN 12, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Medium to smaller dized creamy foamy head on top of a clear orange colored beer. Aroma is a typical but good fruity ipa with flowers and hints of malts, soap, chalk and some caramel. Flavours of malts, caramel, fruits like pine apple, apricot, hint of grapefruit, light sticky, some herbs and bitters. Aftertaste is bitter, herbal, caramel, creamy, light fruity and some malts. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, more than just a medium body and a creamy texture. Nice beer yet it’s within the BB time, but it tastes like it was just over it... Still a nice beer.

Bottle at home from drinkstore. Pours amber with white head which disappears. Lots of pine, spruce, grass, resin, orange rind. Sweet orange flavour with mild bittereness. Slick syrup mouthfeel. These beers are like rating the particular hops and this variety is lovely.
