COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Pacific North West of America is home to the Citra hop. America is not just about cheer leaders, a silly version of football, elastic top jeans and cheeseburgers. They grow remarkable hops and Citra is a killer example of this, embodying all that is good about American hops and then some. A relatively new hop on the block, it may even seduce you into thinking the American Dream is not just a catch phrase to sell movies and elect Presidents. Fearfully hard to resist, this beer is loaded with brash citrus, grapefruit orange, hints of resinous pine and touches of black currant. Devilishly moreish. I am a little bit too obsessed with this beer for my own good.

Hazy orange, big off-white head. Smells onion, hops, fruity, fresh. Tastes bitter, sweet, grapefruits. Good carbo, medium bitter body.

Licht troebel oranje bier, licht beige schuimkraag. Veel frisse citrus in de neus, grapefruit, sinaasappel, zoete malt tonen. Vrij forse smaak, bitter, zoete tonen van mout. Beetje ongebalanceerd, maar wel erg lekker.

Bottle from brewdog.com. one of my favourite brewdogs to date. Pours a thick hazy amber colour with medium head. Tonnes of tropical fruit aroma. Citrus fruits and a thick texture. Really stunning beer.

33cl. bottle from a local beer retailer. It pours a very hazy amber liquid with a small non-lasting white head that leaves no lacing. The aroma is obviously very hoppy and quite complex, very sweet, with grapefruit, orange, strawberry, peach, pineapple, resin and olives, as well as caramel notes from the malt and yeast. Quite tropical nose; very enjoyable. It tastes likewise, a little maltier, the sensation a little too sweet maybe, with medium-high sweetness, medium-high bitterness and low sourness. In the mouth it feels mildy carbonated, oily, with a slightly thinning medium body and a long dry and bitter (but not extremely) finish, with an aftertaste of pine, caramel and fruits. There is also a slight alcoholic touch, which is ok. Presentation rocks (as always with Brewdog) for a nice citra single-hop.

Fantastic hoppy beer, the citra is everywhere in the aroma taste and palete! Love it!

Bottle. Pours a hazy and golden beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel and hops with peach, citrus and passion fruit. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness with alcoholwarmth. Overall a beer just above average.

Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Hazy amber, medium off-white head. Very nice citric aroma with some oranges and dark berries. Medium bodied and smooth. Dairly dry, medium bitterness. Very nice.

Orange amber, a bit thick to pour. Strong dark citrus on nose, thick grapefruit and sweetish malts. Thick mouthfeel, sweetish malts, bitter on the palate. A well made IPA, although I prefer the richness of flavours and variation of non-single hops.

Massor av fruktig och besk citrus. Riktigt god och min favorit i 4-packet.
