Released as part of 2014 IPA is Dead selection
As you’d expect from a New Zealand hop variety, Kohatu contributes bags of tropical fruit, but with loads of lime notes, & pineapple hits.

33cl bottle. Pours clear amber with thin off-white head. Malty aroma, some fruits thrown in. Medium carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet, malty with fruity notes. Medium bitterness going into quite short aftertaste with alcohol backdrop. Interesting single-hop and well-made.

Gylden klar brun med høyt offwhite skum. Grapefrukt, sitrusskall og lett karamellukt. Mye fruksødme i denne, sydhavsfrukter men en fin mild bitter avslutning. Medium kullsyre.

Cunningham (4927) - Halden, NORWAY - DEC 19, 2014
Appearance: Hazy golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Malty, candy, hoppy and fruity.
Palate: Medium + body. A bit sweet that the bitterness did not follow up. Average carbonation.
Taste: Sweet malty, unusual citric hoppy and tropical fruity.
Overall impression: Funny to tatse this hop series. And I know now that Kohatu is not my favourite hop.
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo, Norway

visionthing (2984) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 16, 2014
33cl bottle shared by Cunningham - thanks a lot! Pours almost clear golden to amber with an off-white head. Fairly fruity aroma with sweet malt, caramel some floral notes and hints of citrus and cat piss. Fairly sweet, but with the tropical fruity flavours, some acidity and a fairly decent bitterness. Medium+ body with carbonation slightly on the soft side. Decent IPA, but hardly a favourite.

Pours a cloudy orange with a thin white head that lasts. Aroma of oranges and punk grapefruit with some candy. Very bitter initial taste with a hint of floral and a strong bitter finish. Tasty but not special

Bottle from Systembolaget. Aroma is sweet with deep smell of hops, meantime the aroma is malty and full. Pours dark hazy orange with a medium white head. Taste is sweet with some caramel, fruits and brown sugar. Leaves a thin after taste. Palate is thin and drinkable. Overall a decent IPA though not very exciting.

33 cl systembolaget. En ny brewdog favorit som passar utmärkt till pyttipanna. Synd bara att jag bara hade en.
