4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 foxo82 (478) - Tamworth (via Leicester), Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 7, 2012
2/3 pint at BrewDog Camden. BrewDog beers are never dull to look at and this is no exception - cloudy, almost ginger beer-esque colour with a decent sized head and some fine lacing. This one has a strong aroma of orange and passionfruit. Having recently tried several of its label mates I can say that they all seek to strike a balance between fruity, alcopop style flavourings and the more traditional hoppy deliciousness. This latest brew seems to get the mix spot on - fruity yet medium bitter with a gloriously smooth finish.

Pretty special IPA, smells awesome (really fresh and hoppy) and tastes just as fresh balancing bitter, sweet and refreshing

On keg at the BrewDog Bar. Pours a dark golden colour with a fair white head. A lovely hoppy aroma of pine, passion fruit and alcohol. A huge chewy passion fruit flavour again which lingers nicely. Also a little grass, caramel and alcohol. Moderate bitterness with alcohol fairly present. Very tasty.

Keg at Brewdog Camden. Very orange. Very fizzy. Fruity hop: beautiful to start , slightly gritty in the middle. Some pepper, some agressive fizz. Overall very nice, though perhaps not the best in the series.

Quite a fizzy number with a lovely fresh hop taste and a rich mouthfeel. Perhaps a little one dimensional but I guess that is the point of the range! Educational on hops!

Keg at Brewdog Camden. Light amber coloured with beige head of little bubbles. Aroma is hops and fruit. Bit of pine and slight cat pee/b.o. hops, malt and pepper. Bit of peach there but not a massive smell. Taste is very fruity, grapefruit, peach, mango orange. Really nice. Touch of malt in the background. Finish is initially bitter and then malty. Bit of a spike in the texture. Pretty nice.

7th February 2012 On tap at the Camden Brewdog. Slight haze on this orange - amber beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, carbonated sting. Bags of fresh Simcoe. Tastes very fresh but also has a good dose of skunk that I would normally associate with Nelson or sometimes Citra. Fresh pithy orange and tangerine. Mild floral and grassy notes. Smooth pale malt underneath. Minerally crisp finish with more intense grassy Simcoe and bitter pine. Intense! Phew!
