Start with a colossal grapefruit aroma. Pile on bitterness after thumping bitterness, and ride the anarchy wherever it takes you. The caramel razor is sharp, but the resinous bite drills straight through your taste buds. For blitzing the mediocre, raising hell and revelling in the aftermath, Jack Hammer is the end of the line. The hopped-up, pucker-mouthed terminal extreme of craft brewing. This beer is bitter. Very bitter. If you push that button, don’t say we didn’t warn you…

Smells of hops dominate and the taste of grapefruits, pineapples, peaches and pine transforms into a lovely bitter ending that lasts for quite a while. If you are a true #hophead , you must have at least one of these in your life.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2014 330ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a slightly hazy yellow colour forming a big, bubbled and creamy light yellow head. Medium retention and lots of chunky and soapy lacings left in the glass S: Very fruity and flowery. Strong notes of pine. Definitely an American IPA. Very fruity. Tropical fruits: Oranges, grapefruit and pineapple. Pale sweet grains and grassy hops T: Slightly sweet upfront. Strong notes of sweet pale malts, crystal malts, caramel malts. Very fruity! Again, strong notes of tropical fruits: Oranges, grapefruit and pineapple. Very piny too. In overall, a slightly sweet taste and a huge hops bitterness M: Medium molasses body. Medium carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste. Strong notes of pine O: Great drinkability. Just another Brewdog masterpiece [ BA Review @ 7/10/2014 ]

Deep golden clear body, modest off white head, some rimmy lacings. Aroma; pine forest, resiny malts, citrus, lemon, wildberries. Taste; resin, pine, juicy resiny malts, citrus peel, grapefruit peel, leather notes, ash juice notes. Solid on palate, average carbonation, feels as solid IPA. Roasted malts, distinct bitter and some ash in finish. Lingering resin. [33cl btl 7.2%abv BB 22/11/14 B@systembolaget Storheden]

Peachy aroma. Very little foam top. Probably one of the bitterest beer I’ve tried. Not for everybody. But definitely a must try for bitter beers.

I enjoyed the bitterness but I honestly do not think this is 100 IBU's. I've had more hop-forward craft with more intense bitterness with less IBU's. It was also lacking on the aroma front. It was there but not as intense as I would've liked.
