3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Brewdog Birmingham, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma of loads of piney hops, biscuity malts and a little grapefruit. Flavour brings out loads of piney hops, some grapefruit and dry biscuity malts. Super pungent, dry and astringently hoppy but in a good way. Very palate-wrecking. Wonderful to drink for a hop-head like me. Great stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line:
Citrusy hop resins are balanced out by toffee-like malt nuances in this balanced IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam tops the clear amber.
-Mouthfeel is lean and clean. This is well-done all the way.
-Flavor profile could be more abrasive for a brew called ‘Jackhammer’. This is soft by North American standards.
-The flavor profile is also generic for the style ; not very memorable.
On tap at Watering Hole.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium, bit frothy yellowish head, leaving shards of lace over (cold)hazed orange-golden beer. Intense, aromatic hopnose - exotic fruit, but also green fragrant leaves and incense; hessian (hop)sacks. Fruity as none, with obvious oranges/orangepeel, but also tantalizing other delights. Outspoken bitter, verging on metallic, but again very fragrant flavours, with (bitter) melon, (bitter) passion fruit, grapefruit and also kafir leaf. Spritzy, medium bodied, very slick/hopoily. The bitterness might just be a tad less metallic, quinine to be perfect, but the aromas, both pre- as retronasal, can hardly be bettered.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
30/III/13 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - bottled: 25/II/13 (2013-285)
Clear deep orange beer, big irregular yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: grapefruit, grassy hops, citrus, resinous, bit dusty, piny. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malty start, some honey, citrus, sourish touch, lots of grapefruit, woody touch. Aftertaste: very bitter, almost medicinal, some citrus, grapefruit peel, more bitterness. Not balanced any more, too bitter. A shame, because it started out so nicely.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not one of Brew Dog’s best. Pours misty amber with a thin off-white head. Fruity pine aroma. Slight carbonation but a relatively one dimensional fruity, slightly bitter, thin, experience. nothing to differentiate it from the masses..ooh what a thing to say about Brew Dog.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
[keg, BrewDog Edinburgh] Pours reasonably clear yellowish amber, walloping aroma of sweet stone fruit, citrus orange and piney wood. Similar flavours – lots of resin up front, before the pithier fruits come out, and then the sweeter ones. Good stuff, if a bit BrewDog-by-numbers

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, in The Local Pub (Athens, Greece). Well, two bottles. Just to be sure. Pours a hazy golden-orange, with an aroma of hops and tropical fruits. Full-bodied and madly hoppy, this is a wickedly bitter Cali-style IPA: tons of fruity, floral and herbal hops in the flavour. And then some more hoppiness. Loved it. Perhaps not for the faint hearted.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2013 330 ml bottle (Poseidon, Helsinki) (6:3:5:3:9=2.6)
Total cookie-cutter bollocks. Smells kinda -OK for an IPA, fruity hops but the taste is sticky crystal malt mashines. Sticky messy finish, some resin. Yet more pale shit from BrewDog. Why did I waste my money?
Rerate: Tap (Pudel, Tallinn) (5:3:5:2:8=2.3)
Really floral aroma, a bit cheesy. Harsh palate, aggressive carbonation. Very acidic hopping, harsh, and not particularly drinkable. No malts to speak of compared to the over-the-top hopping. Not good.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Watering Hole, Tokyo. Clear golden amber colour with a white head that leaves a heavy lacing. Citric caramel aroma. Mild hops flavour. Somewhat sour with a lot of bitterness.
