Start with a colossal grapefruit aroma. Pile on bitterness after thumping bitterness, and ride the anarchy wherever it takes you. The caramel razor is sharp, but the resinous bite drills straight through your taste buds. For blitzing the mediocre, raising hell and revelling in the aftermath, Jack Hammer is the end of the line. The hopped-up, pucker-mouthed terminal extreme of craft brewing. This beer is bitter. Very bitter. If you push that button, don’t say we didn’t warn you…

330ml brown bottle. Hazy golden with some floaties. Small thin layer of white cap. Aroma has grapefruit and a bit of tropical notes. Clean malts and grapefruity hops with decent bitterness. Lightish bodied. Enjoyable.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve had an IPA as good as this. Nice grapefruit aroma, plenty of bitter hops.

Draft in Xuanmu. Once the pint is poured here comes a fruity aroma. Golden colour with a white head, which goes really quick. Tastes bitterly fruity. My favourite drink

Golden color with a nice white head that last for while. Aroma is hoppy and citrus, notes of orange peel and mandarin. Flavor is bitter and quite citrus, hints os mandarin. Low carbonation, medium body with a sweet bitter finish.

Bottle into IPA glass. Pours a clear golden colour with tiny white head. Aroma is grapefruit. Taste is grapefruit bitterness with a little tiny bit malt sweetness. Great beer.

Bottle. Pale golden body, small head. Big hoppy aroma with mostly American varietals. Dry hoppy taste with spruce tips and alpha acids... yeah, mostly fresh spruce tips. The body is too thin and overhopped for my tastes - I like malt and some levels of caramel/breadiness to balance the acidic hops in IPAs. This one is out of balance. It could be a better beer if they used hops in a less blunt manner. But this is BrewDog, after all. Quote: "terminal extreme of craft brewing". FFS, you just dumped a shitload of popular hops into the kettle and bottled the result. Where is the "craft" in that? You’re no Jackson Pollocks of hop-sprinkling.

This stuff is awesome! Bitter as hell but with loads of citrus hop character and flavour by the bucketload. One of the best IPAs I have tasted. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden yellow, white head. Nose is very hoppy, some citric notes, malt with toasty notes, some grass. Flavor is biscuity malt, grassy-citric hops, finish is dry and hoppy, some sweet notes and grapefruity bitterness.

Aroma of fresh compost. Golden amber with nice foam. Very dry. Rather jarsh. I was warned. Someone is hiding medicine in my beer and i dont want to get better. I want my malt.

Aromat mało intensywny ale bardzo przyjemny, ale*. W smaku intensywnie gorzkie jednakże goryczą przyjemnie nienachalną i dobrze skomponowaną z cytrusowo-żywicznymi nutami. Ewentualne powroty do niego uzależniam od ceny (której nie znam bo dostałem to piwo na urodziny :-) ) *podczas picia kilka razy wychwyciłem w zapachu coś jakby nuty plastiku
