The devastatingly bitter finish will drill straight through your taste buds. If you like hops and bitterness then go ahead. But be warned: this beer has more bitterness than a human palate (or nipple) can detect. For freaks, craft beer junkies and stamp collectors only.

The second placed beer in our 2012 Prototype Challenge is a BrewDog staff favourite, and made a brief guest appearance in our bars last summer.

Pours a nice light amber, slight haze. Noticed some sediment, which is unusual for Brewdog beers. Lots of classic American C hop flavours - citrus, grapefruit, touch of peaches. Pretty bitter, but it’s no Mikkeller 1000IBU! Medium body, but perhaps made bigger by all the hops? Good, but not great. Prefer I Hardcore U.

Appearance: Light amber, clear, with a white lasting head about 2cm thick. Aroma: Lychee, black currant, grapefruit, slightly resinous. Taste: Smooth with lingering bitterness, refreshing. Mouthfeel: Astringent, slight carbonation. Comments: Drank from Teku glass, left lacing on the glass, very easy to drink and would have it again.

Bottle from Asahiya. Big fat pureed, simmered and pureed and mixed with peaches. Hazy dark straw, like apple jam. Hop attack right away / mid mellows and lets the fruitiness emerge / finish keeps the hops, and they do linger. Pretty good. maltier than the west coast style, which, according to the labels, this one emulates.

Bottle Rehills Newcastle. Huge peach mango and passion fruit aroma that my wife could smell from about 8 foot away. Not quire the same in the flavour department; but the mango really comes through after a few sips. Really impressed with this, a full on IPA with warmth in the chest & long lingering orange notes. Excellent-my favourite Brewdog beer so far I think.
