The devastatingly bitter finish will drill straight through your taste buds. If you like hops and bitterness then go ahead. But be warned: this beer has more bitterness than a human palate (or nipple) can detect. For freaks, craft beer junkies and stamp collectors only.

The second placed beer in our 2012 Prototype Challenge is a BrewDog staff favourite, and made a brief guest appearance in our bars last summer.

Draught. Pours clear dark orange in color with a small head. Tropical notes on the nose, peaches and mangos, quite the hopbomb so far. Some herbal and cats pee too. Grassy bitter taste, bits of wooden forrest and tropical fruityness at the same time. Nice though, I like the combination of hops in this brew. A bit of sweetish fruity notes and some grapefruit bitterness in aftertaste.

33cl bottle from cervezalandia. Nice and clear orange color with thin head. Texture is lightly spiky, but carbonation is medium. Taste is very high bitter and dry. Aroma is grassy, hoppy, fruity (mango, passion fruits), some wood in here. It’s a very nice IPA but lacks even more fruitness and it’s too bitter for me.

Very bitter and hoppy beer with resinous, citrusy hop flavors that last long after beer is finished. I like hoppy hoppy beers and this one did not disappoint. Purchased in Dublin in 12oz bottle. Pours hazy and light orange with great citrus aroma. Fairly one dimensional but I would get again if I can find it.

33cl bottle fron Vinmonopolet, Storo. Pours deep golden to amber with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma with lots of citrus, pine, malt and hints of caramel. Medium sweet with solid citrusy hoppy flavour and a lovely bitterness. Surprisingly easy tro drink and a nice bitter aftertaste with citrus. Delicious and refreshing!

From bottle. Pours amber with thin head, lumpy sediment floating, head quickly vanishes. Citrus, apples, and grass nose, very hoppy. Very fruity in the mouth, apples and all sorts really. Slight caramel sweetness. Then the bitter hops hit. Wow. Astringent finish, long lasting bitterness. Medium-light body, medium carbonation. I’m hopping out my nut here. Had this on tap a few times, this is my first bottle. Not my vote during the bar trials (I went for Cocoa Psycho) but a good beer nonetheless.

Welcoming pineapple and mango in aroma and also some citrus can be found. Nice golden apperance though with some percipitation floating around. The taste is nice with a some fruitness and a lot of bitterness. Nice dry mouth feel. Conclusion: A really nice IPA as they should be.
