COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The devastatingly bitter finish will drill straight through your taste buds. If you like hops and bitterness then go ahead. But be warned: this beer has more bitterness than a human palate (or nipple) can detect. For freaks, craft beer junkies and stamp collectors only.

The second placed beer in our 2012 Prototype Challenge is a BrewDog staff favourite, and made a brief guest appearance in our bars last summer.

Lovely aroma jumps out of the bottle as soon as cap is removed. Predominantly grapefruit but taste is much more complex with multi fruits and a bit of creaminess to balance the bitterness. A winner from the Scottish punks.

Bottle. Appearance- golden and clear, plenty of bubbles clinging to the glass, lots of carbonation. 1-2 finger off-white head which settles down. Aroma- lots of it. Pine, grapefruit, loads of hops, peach, apples and lemons, citrussy. Taste- big slap of hop bitterness. Plenty of hop resins, juicy tropical fruits, orange peel, bitter lemon, pine, grapefruit. Still has a slightly creamy maltiness underneath the hops. Pretty full in the mouth, with a long finish. Very nice indeed.

33 cl bottle at Siilinpesä. Hazy yellow orange color with lacing white head. Very bitter taste. Notes of pine, grapefruit, citrus, grass. The intense bitterness smoothens out after awhile. Maybe still abit too bitter for my taste. Needs something to smoothen out the taste. Tasty IPA nevertheless.

VDuquerroux (270) - Airvault, FRANCE - JUL 20, 2014
Bottle, 33cL. 7.2%. An opaque yellow orange beer with a medium white head. Thin bubbles. Medium persistence. Fruity aroma (tropical fruit, blackberry, blackcurrant), herbs, resin. First light sweet, then heavy dry bitter. Medium body and texture. Soft carbonation. Lasting dry bitter finish. Overall, intense fruity and resin aroma. Pleasant for this summer days. Heavy bitter but just 1 level of interpretation.

Una nueva buena Ipa de Brewdog , se aprecia el mango y fruta de la pasión, hierba también, ligero amargor final. Como siempre bordan sus ipas.

Hazy orange colour, with a medium yellowish head. Smell is very aromatic, nice exotic fruits notes. Taste too, very fruity, orange, grapefruit. The finish is bitter, but not so much as they say, and for me that’s better. Really a good IPA.

.33l bottle at Samo Pivo, Belgrade. Clearish gold, solid white foam. Huge rich hop aroma, right in my sweet spot. Hazy citrus, grapefruit, orange peel. Quite bitter finish. Dark orange sweetness, some alcohol hanging around. Pretty tasty, and does West Coast proud.

Beese (1783) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 17, 2014
Draught at BrewDog, Camden on 16 Dec 2012. Poured a lightly hazy pale golden, with a dense white head and some lacing. Wonderful aroma of fresh hops, zesty citrus and straw. Really dry on the tongue, with some tropical fruits in the mix and grapefruit. Finish was bitter resin, dry cereal and a small amount of caramel.
