The devastatingly bitter finish will drill straight through your taste buds. If you like hops and bitterness then go ahead. But be warned: this beer has more bitterness than a human palate (or nipple) can detect. For freaks, craft beer junkies and stamp collectors only.

The second placed beer in our 2012 Prototype Challenge is a BrewDog staff favourite, and made a brief guest appearance in our bars last summer.

On-Tap at Brewdog Aberdeen (Schooner):
Lychee and bitter hops to begin with some pine and citrus along with a bit of grapefruit making up most of the rest. There is a solid IPA aroma to this one with a fruity smell in the background.
Light amber with a clear body and a thin, foamy white head on top that is more of a lacing.
Dark fruits and bitter hops to begin and a helping of grapefruit and pine too. There is some strong bitter notes and and touch of sweet malts as well as some tropical flavouring.
Bitter with a medium body and moderate carbonation. There is a nice citrus tang and a slightly dry finish.

A nice, very bitter IPA that had some good fruit notes and a strong, hoppy taste. This one would fall somewhere in between Brewdogs Punk IPA and their Hardcore IPA in both style and taste.

Bottle. Pours hazy to cloudy amber, medium creamy beige head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is pine, spruce, a touch of citrus. Flavor is light plus sweet, pine, spruce, caramel. Guessing it was not the freshest. Medium body. Meh

From 330 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold amber with a creamy lasting white head and lively carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange, pine, mango, grapefruit and passionfruit. Taste is juicy citrus up front before a very firm grapefruit zest and pine resin bitterness washes through. Lingering finish with some lemon and menthol notes. Long citrus aftertaste with residual bitterness. Really well done.

Great tasting brew - one of the best from Brewdog. Strong, bitter with citrus and very slight fruity notes. Highly recommend

Barwa bursztynowa, w butelce jakieś farfocle których ciężko nie nalać, piana drobno i średniopęchrzykowa, średnio trwała. W aromacie cytrusy (grejpfruty) i owoce tropikalne.

Piwo jasne, wytrawne. Potężna dawka goryczki, z posmakami trawiastymi i tytoniowymi.

Loads of hopps (grapefruit). Strong @ 7.2%. Best thing is, it’s local brewery to us! Fine Ale!

From a bottle. Huge grapefruit aroma and flavours, a great example of the style. Not for the faint of heart, as you would guess from the name.

Clear golden with a white head. Passion fruit, mango, blood orange, a bit citrussy. Lightly carbonated, a bit slick, full body. Bit sweet at the beginning, fruity hoppy bitterness getting a bit dry. Long finish.
