The devastatingly bitter finish will drill straight through your taste buds. If you like hops and bitterness then go ahead. But be warned: this beer has more bitterness than a human palate (or nipple) can detect. For freaks, craft beer junkies and stamp collectors only.

The second placed beer in our 2012 Prototype Challenge is a BrewDog staff favourite, and made a brief guest appearance in our bars last summer.

On-Tap at Brewdog Aberdeen (Schooner):
Lychee and bitter hops to begin with some pine and citrus along with a bit of grapefruit making up most of the rest. There is a solid IPA aroma to this one with a fruity smell in the background.
Light amber with a clear body and a thin, foamy white head on top that is more of a lacing.
Dark fruits and bitter hops to begin and a helping of grapefruit and pine too. There is some strong bitter notes and and touch of sweet malts as well as some tropical flavouring.
Bitter with a medium body and moderate carbonation. There is a nice citrus tang and a slightly dry finish.

A nice, very bitter IPA that had some good fruit notes and a strong, hoppy taste. This one would fall somewhere in between Brewdogs Punk IPA and their Hardcore IPA in both style and taste.

Deep golden nearly orange in colour with a small frothy white head. A beautfil bouquet of citrus, orange, grapefruit and hints of black currant develop. The taste devlops furthwr mango/maracuja and hints of litchi notes. A light livelyness leads to a rather slick dry medium-full bodied beer. A light fruity sweet touch which fades quickly into a bitterness which moves on and on leaving a long dry finish. Pretty intense but still well balanced!

Flaska hos föräldrarna. Rätt mörk för för att vara en pale Ale. Fruktig doft och skumkronan drar lite åt det gröna hållet. Härlig beska, en bra ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, shared during our epic night at MicroBar in Reykjavik, with Arnie and Stein. Golden with orange hue, lovely aromatic hop profile, filled with tropical fruits and a touch of conifer. Long bitter finish. After recently having had a few let-downs from Brewdog in the IPA department (in particular, the entire "IPA Is Dead" series), this is a return to greatness. Delicious.

Bottle 0,33L. Cloudy, dark yellow colour with a lot of visible floating particles and small, frothy, white head. Aroma of tropical fruits like mango, lemon, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, also caramel and resin. Taste is heavy bitter and very hoppy. Medium to full body with dry texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle from Cornelius. Pours crystal clear golden, small head. Big resinous sticky nose, grapefruit. Body is lighter than I remember from last taste, loads of bitterness. As another eater has suggested, sits somewhere between punk and hardcore. Good.

First drunk at home Prague, while playing Dark Souls, 01/04/14 clear amber beer with a small off-white head. Very fruity nose, grapefruit, pine, mango. Sweet dry hoppy, then biting bitter finish, too bitter for my taste, yolo tho

A orange yellow beer with a quite weak and blond head. The aroma is nice and tropical fruity, sweet mangos, grapefruits, some pine needles, the fruits are dominating, also some caramell malts. Tastefull aroma. Taste is strognly bitter but also frutifull and smooth, mangos, pine needles and resin. The end is long, strongly bitter with resin. Medium bodied, smooth at first then the bitterness starts to attack. Even as Brewdog beer the bitterness is huge, still great balance and smoothness.
