Ruthless India Pale Ale

Start with a colossal grapefruit aroma. Pile on bitterness after thumping bitterness, and ride the anarchy wherever it takes you. The caramel razor is sharp, but the resinous bite drills straight through your taste buds.

For blitzing the mediocre, raising hell and revelling in the aftermath, Jack Hammer is the end of the line. The hopped-up, pucker-mouthed terminal extreme of craft brewing. This beer is bitter. Very bitter. If you push that button, don’t say we didn’t warn you…

On-Tap at Brewdog Aberdeen (Schooner):
Lychee and bitter hops to begin with some pine and citrus along with a bit of grapefruit making up most of the rest. There is a solid IPA aroma to this one with a fruity smell in the background.
Light amber with a clear body and a thin, foamy white head on top that is more of a lacing.
Dark fruits and bitter hops to begin and a helping of grapefruit and pine too. There is some strong bitter notes and and touch of sweet malts as well as some tropical flavouring.
Bitter with a medium body and moderate carbonation. There is a nice citrus tang and a slightly dry finish.

A nice, very bitter IPA that had some good fruit notes and a strong, hoppy taste. This one would fall somewhere in between Brewdogs Punk IPA and their Hardcore IPA in both style and taste.

Aroma: Grapefruit, some mangos, resin, clear hoppiness. Appearance: Nice white dense head with lacing, pale color. Taste: Very light, very bitter but the bitterness is very quick, lingers just a little bit, grapefruity, peachy. Palate: Carbonation medium-high, body medium-low, finish is dry.

Corpo medio, mediamente carbonata, texture leggermente acquosa.

330ml bottle. Very hoppy aroma. Initial caramel hint quickly overtaken by massive bitterness. A great hoppy IPA with the bitterness turned up to 11.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra, Tiel. Hazy yellow with a white head. Massive grapefruit aroma. Extremely bitter taste but creamy at the same time which is a solid combination. Great IPA.

Can from Hops & Crafts Exeter, Aroma is a delightful hoppy mix of grapefruit & pinapple , the beer pours slightly hazy pale gold with a rapidly diminishing white head the taste is hoppy grapefruit up front , butterscotch with piney hop which is bitter but also with some balancing sweetness , light bodied with a hop fruity bitter dry finish . This is a solid good Scottish brewed American style iPA & my guilty pleasure !
