The devastatingly bitter finish will drill straight through your taste buds. If you like hops and bitterness then go ahead. But be warned: this beer has more bitterness than a human palate (or nipple) can detect. For freaks, craft beer junkies and stamp collectors only.

The second placed beer in our 2012 Prototype Challenge is a BrewDog staff favourite, and made a brief guest appearance in our bars last summer.

On-Tap at Brewdog Aberdeen (Schooner):
Lychee and bitter hops to begin with some pine and citrus along with a bit of grapefruit making up most of the rest. There is a solid IPA aroma to this one with a fruity smell in the background.
Light amber with a clear body and a thin, foamy white head on top that is more of a lacing.
Dark fruits and bitter hops to begin and a helping of grapefruit and pine too. There is some strong bitter notes and and touch of sweet malts as well as some tropical flavouring.
Bitter with a medium body and moderate carbonation. There is a nice citrus tang and a slightly dry finish.

A nice, very bitter IPA that had some good fruit notes and a strong, hoppy taste. This one would fall somewhere in between Brewdogs Punk IPA and their Hardcore IPA in both style and taste.

2014-11-20. Lightly hazy yellow orange body, moderate frothy white head. 3+ Pleasantly hoppy aroma, interesting fruity melange includes notes of tropical fruit, sweet lemon, citrus. Flavour is similar. Moderate bitterness throughout, fruity hop character has similar melange of tropical fruit, light citrus and others than I can’t quite define. Lingering bitterness in the finish is amplified by moderate alcohol. Average bodied palate with good carbonation. 3+ Good, quite tasty and quaffable. Bottle from Appelation Wine, Edinburgh.

IPA très houblonnée, forte amertume mais relativement accessible. Cela dit très sèche. Trop pour moi en l’état actuel de mon palais. Bouteille achetée chez Intercaves noisy le grand, bue le 04/10/2014.

Pours copper and hazy with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, lots of pine and a hint of something metallic. Medium body, creamy feel, average carbonation. Taste of grapefruit and spicey hops with a long and bitter/dry finish. Something for the hopheads.

0,33 bottle purchased in Serbia and consumed in Kosovo, thank you Boban. It pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. Nose: pine resin, tangerine, marihuana. Mouth: bitter blast! Amber malts in the background, if you are lucky enough to get some spare space on the palate after that bitterness has destroyed it. Diesel! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

very citrus, fresh and pleasant aroma golden color with semilong head with medium bubbles, hazy yes. it’s bitter. very bitter i can say. but bitterness is also very pleasant, under it i can taste something sweeter, something like caramel. it feels a bit oily, quite full (probably this "trash" swimming inside makes it a bit "heavier") overall: i really like it! it was quite expensive as for 0.33l bottle, but it’s a beer every beergeek should drink, i think. on the other hand i was a bit disappointed after reading and hearing about it’s extreme bitterness - after all it was really pleasant, high, but not that extreme
