4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 7th July 2012
Brewdog Camden. Hazy amber - gold beer. Tidy cream white head. Palate is smooth, slight soft and with good fine carbonation. Nice creamy malt base. Hops are a lovely mix of orange marmalade, fresh orange, mango and peach and a good twist of very mild hop skunk. All flavours really well balanced. Traces of pine and grass and a little fresh hop sting. Finishes smooth with good hop bitterness. I think this is 5th time in 2012 Iíve given a Brewdog IPA 4.0 or above. Good stuff!

Bottle - Sweetish tangerine and orange and then a little bitterish marmalade and grapefruit and a trace of bitter lemon. Mild skunk. Good stuff.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Murky orange with a huge amount of yeast particles and a minimal head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts and peachy, floral and fruity hops. Rather good, but maybe too obvious brewdog. Taste is hoppy with sweet malts, nothing special really. Bitter long finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a short and slightly cream-coloured foamy head. Mildly bready (cara-)malty aroma with fruity (citrus, grapefruit, mango), resiny and herbal hoppy notes. Quite bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Initially mildly malty with present herbal, slightly resiny and fruity hops; extremely dry mouthfeel, astringently bitter hoppy finish with a lasting grapefruity and herbal aftertaste. Not really balanced but a hammer indeed. 08.XI.13

Light amber. Smells of citra, grapefruit, like it. Tastes bitter but well balanced. Want to smell before each sip :-) also nice maltyness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy orangy color, nice fluffy white head. Flowery hops, old cotton, something funky, yeast, thick malt, freshly cut trees, grapefruit. Taste is sweet at first, with a bitter kick and a touch of salt. Medium body, slightly sticky texture and average carbonation. Maybe this is past itís prime, but it feels unbalanced and has some weird aromas in there along with some very good ones. Gets better after being in the glass for a while though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light hazy beer with a white fluffy head. Unbelievably clear and distinct aroma of hops with, grass, light fruits, elder blossom, pine and some citrus. Taste of fruity hops with a clear bitterness. Some caramell, light fruits, pine and a light note of elder blossom and apples.

330ml bottle @ALEhouse, Riga
IMpressive brew from perspective of IPA not DIPA, pale amber in color with off-white frothy top, min lasing. Aroma of citrus-pine hops with some caramel-sugary touch at the end, complex aroma but weird is that all Brewdog samples of pale ales are quite similar on nose. Taste is sweet with heavily to style but for me average bitterness. Pleasant indeed. Quite thick also, min sour from hopping level seems at the end. Sampled before "I beat you" - and I prefer this one more.
