COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Libertine Black Ale is a 7% wickedly decadent black beast of a beer that has been hammered with the epic Simcoe hop. With a drinkability that defies its colour and depth of flavour, Libertine delivers a dark hop bomb combining the west coast hop awesomeness of an IPA, the dark and indulgent malt flavours of big stout with a lightness on the palate that bellies the punch that this beer packs. Bags of flavour and loads of hops. We intend to bottle some of this batch for those not lucky enough to make it to a BrewDog Bar to try it.

Dark Brown with a tan head. Aroma is tropical fruit and citrus. The malt brings light coffee and chocolate then the hops take over with lots more tropical fruit and some resionous pine. Nice bitterness and quite nice sweetness too.

0,33L bottle 7,2% alc. Dark brown color and creamy hat. Clear, rich, fruity, herbs aroma. Seems very fresh. Pleasant rich citrus fruits mix. Lime, orange, grapefruit. Mild and light caramel and maybe little toffee. Ginger finish this beer. Enjoyable temperate bitter. Everything is on balance. I like this beer. Good job.

Bottled@brewdog Camden (backlog). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is mild smoked malts along with roasted and caramelly notes. Flavour is fruity, roasted malts, some toffee, coffee and nice floral notes. Nice balance for a black IPA.

Doskonale prawie jest to piwo wswojej kategorii. Piekny gleboki i czarny kolor. Zapach cytrusowo chmielny. Zywiczny posmak i wytrawny finisz. Glebia wytrawnosci jest tu dosc potezna. Palony slod zaznaczony. Tresciwe i sycace piwo. Bardzo bardzo aromatyczne.

Pours dark black with a small head. Smells of caramel and coffee. Tastes of cocoa, coffee, and bitter. Overall a nice beer but I have had better Black IPA’s.

Heavy hopped. Dark, almost black. Has an off-white head, medium duration. Nice hoppy and dark roasted aroma, just like a real Black IPA. Citrus and herbs. Flavor starts moderate sweet and finish heavy bitter.

Bottled. Dark color, big frothy brown head. Aroma is quite hoppy, grapefruit and pine. In the background there is some roasted malts and chocolat, but it’s mostly hop in aroma. Quite bitter taste, piney, dry. Some smoothness, like a dry stout usually has as well. The roasted malts are present, but only as a carrier of the big hops. If I would taste this blindfolded, I think I would notice something different about the malt bill, but maybe not the color of the beer.
