3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a large light beige head, which lasts very well and leaves very good lacing. The aroma has Vienna coffee and mild dark chocolate malt, blended with grapefruit, herbal and pine needle hops. Strong citrus hops notes of grapefruit and lime up front are joined by some pine. The lime lingers into the mid-palate, where it is joined by bitter cocoa and smoother milk chocolate malt notes. Lime, lemon and a kick of pine resin hops come through in the finish. This is a very enjoyable black IPA indeed.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: Batch 318: Label says 7.2%ABV: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Medium to a bit smaller sized, slowly changing, light brown to (dark) beige foamy head on top of a black colored beer.
A good black body, even blacker than some Imperial Stouts floathing around, and that for an BIPA, looks good.
Aroma has lot of floral tones like herbs, plants, hops and nettle, some roast, hints of caramel and light coffee/liquorice tints.
Flavours of bitters, coffee, hops, roast, nettle and floral tones, some hints of liquorice, malt and wood roast, hints of dark and bitter fruit like raisin and grapefruit, nice smooth creamy hints and some liquorice wood.
Aftertaste is smooth bitter with roast, hops, liquorice, floral and light coffee tones. Very nice.
Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy texture.
Damn, good roast, good bitter and nice hop floral tones. And it’s balanced.

Piękny cytrusowy zapach, w połączeniu z czekoladowo-kawową goryczką z wytrawnymi akcentami. Rewelacja ...

Bottled 0,33L. Dark reddish color, little hazy aspect with a creamy resistant head duration. Pleasant and sweet resiny hops, dark malts smell and aged grapes. Medium alcoholic taste, very balanced fruity hop body, medium prickly perception. Long and little fruity final.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Another great beer by Brewdog! Aroma of citrus, herbs, orange, grapefruit.. a typical brewdog smell. Tastes like a great IPA, only a pity the blackness doesnt have that much effect on the taste. Could be a golden beer if i’d tasted it with my eyes closed.. I prefer my dark beers with a hint of chocolate or coffee, but nevertheless a truely great beer

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught @ exchange bar Leicester. Dark dark dark colour. Big hoppy nose. Tastes hoppy at first then a big liquorice taste with slight bitterness to finish. I had a half, which is about right, but you prob wouldn't want much more. Delicious though.
