Libertine Black Ale is a 7.2% wickedly decadent black beast of a beer that has been hammered with the epic Simcoe hop. With a drinkability that defies its colour and depth of flavour, Libertine delivers a dark hop bomb combining the west coast hop awesomeness of an IPA, the dark and indulgent malt flavours of big stout with a lightness on the palate that bellies the punch that this beer packs. Bags of flavour and loads of hops. We intend to bottle some of this batch for those not lucky enough to make it to a BrewDog Bar to try it. ABV from 7% to 7.2%.

WYGLĄD: Barwa ciemno brązowa z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana drobna, wysoka, długa. Ładnie oblepia szkło.
AROMAT: Intensywny. Świeży cytrusowy, owoców, żywiczny. W tle kwiatowość, delikatnie palone, nuty czekoladowo-kawowe.
SMAK: Łagodne owocowo-cytrusowe. Posmak kawowo-torfowy. Na finiszu cytrusy. Goryczka średnia do wysokiej - cytrusowa, krótka.
OGÓLNIE: Solidna propozycja. Bardzo dobry aromat, równie dobre zbalansowane w smaku między łagodną słodowością, a konkretną goryczką. 8*5*8*4*16

330ml, brown bottle, cask and barrel, Edinburgh. Scent is dense citrus hops with hazy, spicy notes. Pours cola-colored with a thin brown head subsiding at a medium rate. It has a red hue! Taste is medium bodied (maybe rye?) with medium density/light syrup-like feel. Finish is smooth and clear. Excellent.

Draught at Brewdog Roppongi. Rich dark chocloate, citrus hops, orange and lime, bitter finish. Quite a classic hoppy Brewdog ale with a dark twist.

Dark brown, almost black. Frothy light-brown head. IPA aromas prevail: passion fruit, white flowers. Porter hints come along: coffee, chocolate. More watery than expected. Very bitter medium finish.

On tap at BrewDog’s Aberdeen pub. Black body with a decent head. Interesting interplay of hops and malts, with the hops peaking mid-taste. Full body with ear medium carbonation.

12 oz bottle into tulip. Black with one inch tan head which thins down quickly. Some lacing. Malty aroma with notes of hay coffee and nuts. Taste is lightly bitter and malty with burnt toasty notes. Hoppy and dark. Somewhat smooth finish. medium carbonation. Over all good beer. Personally I don’t know the style well but I enjoyed thus one.

Super look ideal to style. Medium bodied. Easish head. Palatabke roast which never approaches unpalatable austerity. Malt integration is well handled and balanced. Good.
