COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Libertine Black Ale is a 7% wickedly decadent black beast of a beer that has been hammered with the epic Simcoe hop. With a drinkability that defies its colour and depth of flavour, Libertine delivers a dark hop bomb combining the west coast hop awesomeness of an IPA, the dark and indulgent malt flavours of big stout with a lightness on the palate that bellies the punch that this beer packs. Bags of flavour and loads of hops. We intend to bottle some of this batch for those not lucky enough to make it to a BrewDog Bar to try it.

Small bottle. Nearly black body with a medium beige head. Nice roasty and hoppy aroma. Thick mouthfeel. Tastes like a very hoppy stout. The roastiness rounds the hop sharpness and at the same time the hopiness doesn’t let the malty backbone dominate. Well drinkable.

Bottle at home. Has a black colour and a huge creamy beige head. Has a fruity and hoppy aroma with grapefruit, rye bread and pine. Still fruity hops in the flavour but with a roasted touch in the back. I find tropical fruits, roasted malt, leather and some alcohol and caramel. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. Nice fruity aroma and a rich taste. More an IPA than a black IPA. Well balanced and good.

Clear black, with a reddish glow coming through. Brown head, leaving a beautiful lace. Aroma of fruity hops, pineapple and lychee, some roasted malts. Taste has the same hoppy notes as the aroma. There’s some roasted malts as well, and also hints of coffee. Good body and carbo. Nice bitterness, some sweetness as well. Great beer.

330ml bottle. Dark pour, off-white head. Coffee, chocolate, liquorice all rolled into one tasting. Roasted malt whiff - resinous hop aroma. Good stuff as per usual, Brewdog.

Dark Brown with a tan head. Aroma is tropical fruit and citrus. The malt brings light coffee and chocolate then the hops take over with lots more tropical fruit and some resionous pine. Nice bitterness and quite nice sweetness too.

0,33L bottle 7,2% alc. Dark brown color and creamy hat. Clear, rich, fruity, herbs aroma. Seems very fresh. Pleasant rich citrus fruits mix. Lime, orange, grapefruit. Mild and light caramel and maybe little toffee. Ginger finish this beer. Enjoyable temperate bitter. Everything is on balance. I like this beer. Good job.

Bottled@brewdog Camden (backlog). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is mild smoked malts along with roasted and caramelly notes. Flavour is fruity, roasted malts, some toffee, coffee and nice floral notes. Nice balance for a black IPA.

Doskonale prawie jest to piwo wswojej kategorii. Piekny gleboki i czarny kolor. Zapach cytrusowo chmielny. Zywiczny posmak i wytrawny finisz. Glebia wytrawnosci jest tu dosc potezna. Palony slod zaznaczony. Tresciwe i sycace piwo. Bardzo bardzo aromatyczne.
