Brewed for the Lichtenstein exhibition at the Tate modern in 2013 l
We all got understandably pretty excited when the awe inspiring TATE Modern asked if we wanted to work with them to brew a special beer to mark the launch of the upcoming Lichtenstein exhibition there. Damn right we wanted to. The result being this awesome 5.2% pale ale. The label features original Lichtenstein artwork and is quite possibly the coolest beer label on the planet.

330ml bottle from Brewdog. Fairly large white head dissipates quickly with little lacing. Body is clear amber. Good hoppy nose, not overpowering, flavour is citrus, touch of berries. Hops remain on the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is good, full with medium carbonation. Very very easy to drink.

Bottle from a friend (BD-shop). Very fruity smell, peaches and candy, sweet. Similar taste. Fresh and fruity with a light bitterness. Nice and clean. Very easy to drink, perfect summer beer.

Bottled 0,33L. Reddish amber color, optimal bubbly and elegant aspect with creamy head og medium diration. Aolid and spiced nose, the aroma is fruity hop, resin, cortex. Pleasant prickly taste with a solid alcoholic mouth, round and soft malty with a powerfull hoppy and dried bitter end.

On tap at Brewdog Camden. It pours an amazing peach color with a big soapy white head. Aroma is hoppy with loads of fruitiness: lemon, pineapple, peach. Some resinousness too. Taste is surprisingly low on bitterness, given the rich hopppy profile. Again, tons of summer fruits and resin. Medium bodied with good carbonation. One of the most refreshing and delighting beers drank recently. Great APA

Hazy amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is minerally crisp. A little creamy malt supports a refreshing combo of minerals and good hops. The hops start mildly skunky but turn to great lemon and orange sherbet citrus. Touch of sweet pine. Finishes with light fresh orange and touches of sweet peach and hop skunk. Very nice indeed!

[330ml bottle, courtesy of BrewDog] Hazy orange pour with a large white head, that reduces to a decent lacing. Very floral on the nose, peach and apricot, some tropical notes. On the taste, some more of that sweet fruit, but then a touch of woody, grainy elements. Some light pine on the finish. Good stuff [29112013]

Bottle at BrewDog Shoreditch. It pours clear amber with a thick white head. The nose is pungent hop, earth, citrus peel, orange and passion fruit. The taste is lemon, grapefruit, citrus peel, spice, dough, earth, light resin, floral aspect and nice level of bitterness with a crisp, dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Tasty lower ABV BrewDog offering. Flavoursome, well balanced and very drinkable.
