Botella. Color nefro con espuma blanca poco persistente y baja carbonatacion.
Aroma licoroso, madera, caramelo. En boca es bastante alcoholica, dejando notas a caramelo, mucha barrica y un agradable sabor a ron con un final alcoholico

Dark brown, small head that fizzles away quickly. Aroma of licorice and dark fruits. Strong taste of licorice aswell. With a clear hint of barrel-aging. Really sweet, with a hint of alcohol in the aftertaste.

Really good beer. I just love when the beer is stored. Really good flavor. Strong and tough as I had expected. The aftertaste is also heavy but still good. Will over this beer should be ready to try it.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brown tan head fast dissipating Very little aroma seems to be highly carbonated still Slight alcohol burn thin body but typical of porter. The rum does much to improve the porter. Maybe better with a dark rich rum instead.

09-NOV-2012, bottle from Ølbutikken, @Ulkløbben meeting @my place.
Dark but clear brown with low head.
Roasted with dark fruits.
Quite strong alcohol presence. Port-like wine caracter. Could that be the rum barrels that I now read about?
A little tartness from malts. It all sounds very rough, but actually it comes out very drinkable for 11,5%.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Zombier, Málaga; batch 176, bottled 05-12-11
The color is very dark, not completely black; medium sized head, reducing quickly into a thin layer. The aroma blends some roasted malt with chocolate, wood, and light firewood; original and therefore appreciated. Good body structure, less round than expected though; quite good flavor of dark caramel, with traces of chocolate, light prunes; the bitterness is correct; the alcohol is quite evident but not disturbing. The barrel aging in rum has added some layers of complexity, and it’s more drinkable than other Imperial Porters at a similar strength.

Almost black. Small beige head.
Vinous, roasted aroma with loads of dried, sweet fruits; raisins, prune, figs.
Very sweet flavour with even more sweet fruits; mostly raisins and dried figs.
Low bitterness and carbonation.
A bit too sweet and alcoholic.
