Bottled @ København Ølfestival 2009. Aroma has (dried) fruitiness and caramel malts. Slightly hazy, amber coloured beer with a small head. The taste is sweet, bit sugary with toffee & caramel maltiness. Fruitiness there and some bitter hops in the finish.

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2009 33cl bottle from the brewery web shop. Very deep red/brown, thickish beige head. Wow I had no idea this was a joint brew with Mikkeller. Still want to try to get this on cask at The Bull at Horton Kirby. Slightly sweet barley wine aroma. Bit of choc on the malt, but mostly fruit cake, raisins, baked currants. I mean it is quite boozy in the mouth. Then again I am drinking it on a relatively empty stomach. Its good though, full and it doesn’t go overboard. Reasonably sweet in mouth, but then quite fruit cake crumbly dryness on the finish. Yep, pretty good, but perhaps just a bit too sweet. Re-rate cask gravity at The Bull, Horton Kirby. Syrupy malty barley wine. Better than in bottle. Very malty syrupy decent hop dryness on finish. A definite experience beer. Grew on me..

Bottle @ Ølfestival, Valby, 2009.
Pours a nice, red amber with a small creamy rim of foam. Aroma is fruity, raspberries, strawberries, fat maltiness and some nuts. Medium carbonation, good dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet and malty, caramel, sugar, Belgian sugars, light vinious and warming. Very nice, but just a tad too sugary for my liking.
