COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Bottle from Hollingshead in Orange, CA. Pours a foggy, dark copper color with an amazing, thick, off-white head. Thick, hoppy aroma with some brown sugar, caramel, and a hint of grapefruit. Smooth and thick. Nice, deep hops in the flavor with some caramel in the background. Not too overpowering, and the alcohol is greatly masked. Easily, one of the BEST double IPA’s I have ever had. Simply. Amazing.

Dark orange murky pour. I’m not a fan of Brewdog’s Hardcore IPA, so expectations are pretty low here. Smells of concentrated human urine. Taste is like a rye IPA, but better. Floral, alcohol is quite prominent, some liquorice and caramel but the flavours are not in balance and so it’s hard to enjoy them. Quite a bitter finish.

Tap at The Mikkeller Bar Copenhagen. Poured a clear copper colour with a round white head. The aroma is rich and hoppy leading to a medium to strong hoppy bitter flavour with big liqourice on the palate. A great beer for any hopheads.

reddish amber colour, minimal off-white head; aroma of fresh hops with intensive citrussy notes, mainly grapefruit; taste of paralysing bitterness which is very well ballanced by significant malty sweetness; in addition to the grapefruit taste caused by hops, dried fruits (raisin, mostly) can also be felt supporting the malt to control the intensive, long lasting bitterness; amazing IPA

Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (330ml, £3.80):
Tropical fruits, lots of pine and some pretty strong grapefruit too. Strong bitter notes and a hint of alcohol along with some caramel malt undertones. This one was pretty much what I was expecting from a beer that had been dry hopped so many times, lots of pine and bitterness with some good tropical fruits and a nice sweetness to it as well.
Mild amber with a thin looking, bubbly white head on top about 2 millimetres tall that manages to stay consistent.
Alcohol laced, sweet malt base and some very bitter flavours following it. There is also some strong pine hops as you would expect and a huge amount of tropical fruits and grapefruit too, together with some citrus and a hint of caramel. There is a bit of orange towards the end and a very bitter and hoppy finish.
Very bitter, some light alcohol that is covered by the sweetness and the bitterness. The body is about medium and the mouthfeel is a rather smooth and boozy feeling one.

Very bitter beer with some great tropical fruits and a nice caramel base that does well to cover the 9.5% abv. of this one. Whilst a very strong beer, this one was also a pleasure to drink and one that I will try to pick up again should Brewdog/Mikkeller decide to release it again in the future.

On tap @ Homo Sibaris, served in Irish Pint. Transparent amber colour with medium off-white creamy head. Aroma is orange peel and flowery, soft and nice. Those elements are present when tasting, but adding some caramel and a clear citrusy touch in the back. The alcohol is well masked. Medium body, good carbonation. Very enjoyable as expected.
