COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2014 Bottle from Őllepood nr 1 Gambrinus in Tartu (€ 4,80), August 2014. Pours a deep, dark amber; tan top retains well and leaves lacing. Nose is intoxicating: strong pine resin, biscuits, ripe autumn fruits, citrusy, and only a slight alcoholic warmth that intensifies as it warms. Sweet, resinous taste, bitter; the warming finish is not exactly boozy but near there somewhere. Smooth, velvety texture, minimal carbonation; light to medium body and resinous, sticky palate. Great drinkability. Overall fantastic - exactly the kind of beer I adore -, though it would be even better with less booziness when it’s warmed.

Clear amber with a minimal white head. Aromas of hops, malts, ripe fruits and honey. Taste predominantly bitter with tempering sweetness. Great finish. Deceptively drinkable.

On tap from Mikkeller Bar @ Viktoriagade, CPH, DK. Pours hazy golden amber. Aroma is fruity, hoppy, sugar, caramel. Taste is fantastic, deep heavy sweet first, then bitterness kicks off and leads to a long bittersweet finish. Round and full bodied. Hardcore sweet.

Poured from a 33cl bottle. Nice looking clear amber beer with a minimal white head. Smells quite hoppy and fruity, which makes it’s appearance very welcoming. Interesting aromas of fruits, sugar and caramel. Tastes very hoppy, fresh and sweet in the beginning, but evolves quickly to a heavy bitter sweet and malty aftertaste which is quite strong, but nice. Also a bit warmish, but it’s mainly the bittersweetness that characterizes it’s lovely finish. Interesting beer in general. A nice IPA with an interesting look and taste. A bit dangerous if you consider that it appears as a quite drinkable beer, that hides its present alcohol (9.5%) very well. Despite that, a beer well worth the money if you like heavier IPA’s.

Clear amber body with minimal white head. Best aroma ever, huge fruity kick, mango, orange and pineapple. Hoppy, flowery, brown sugar. Heavy sweetness and some bitterness. Alcohol well hidden. No wonder, beside all this sweetness. Definitely too sweet for my taste, otherwise my total score would probably be even higher.

Bottle from BrewDog website. Aged for 3 years: Cloudy Copper coloured with a very strong rich orange marmalade fruity flavour, burnt toffee notes followed by a spicy fruit, warming finish.

Nice piney hops all over the nose. First sip is really sweet, but not syrupy like some IIPAs can be. Hops come back on the finish, not as overpowering as I expected, but quite pleasant. Alcohol is hidden well, this is a dangerous brew.
