COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

On tap @ Homo Sibaris, served in Irish Pint. Transparent amber colour with medium off-white creamy head. Aroma is orange peel and flowery, soft and nice. Those elements are present when tasting, but adding some caramel and a clear citrusy touch in the back. The alcohol is well masked. Medium body, good carbonation. Very enjoyable as expected.

What it says on the label - a hardcore imperial IPA! Pours golden honey, moderately carbonated, thin off white head. A full citrus / grapefruit nose. In the mouth a great burst of citrus but the extent of carbonation rather overwhelms a good balance but an enjoyable beer.

Deep, dark copper, foamy off white head which settles quickly. Intense nose - pine, grass, spruce, resin, orange and background sweetbread-like malt, amazing. Lots of sweetness in the flavour, backed by an intense resiny bitterness. Quite light in body, medium soft carbonation. A little warming alcohol in the finish. Malt dominates the finish, with a brioche flourish. Best dipa I?ve had in ages.

Bottle 33cl, clear copper amber beer with low head. Nose is on melon, apricot and resin. Aroma is on resin, fresh apricot and mango, coconut and almond notes, not extreme just balanced with a sweet body, passion, honey, grapefruit, pineapple, floral. Not too bitter, especially at the finish, long fruity aftertaste. Fine

Pours cloudy brown with a yellow tan head. Scent is thick caramel, hot, spicy hops. Extremely hoppy...bitter grapefruit peel and resin. Sweet and powerful. I wish it had a sharper edge...more boozy-sweet than I like. Very good, but didn’t care for the lack of balance.

Bottle from Mikkeller Bottle Shop. Pours cobber brown. Head is small to medium. The aroma smells mostly og grapefruit and mango. Tastes of caramel and citrus, and hoppy bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. A decent DIPA.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2013 Amber colour, only little head that quickly dissipates. The hop bitternes is countered by sweet a caramel taste. The 9.5% abv is really hard to believe. Oily thick mouthfeel. Overall a great (D)IPA. edit: tried this from tap and found it more balanced than the bottled version, less caramel tasting (could be serving temperature though).

33cl bottle from Probus Wines, Dublin. Pours deep copper/amber with thin off white head; decent lacing throughout. Aroma is big on the grapefruit, mango and sappy pine resin - some thick caramel malty notes come through too. Taste is a hop explosion: bitter sappy pine resin, pithy grapefruit, blood orange, some tropical mango/passionfruit character, and a big dollop of sweet caramel from the malt backbone. Medium/full mouthfeel. Semi-sweet finish with a bit of booze heat as it goes down. Lingering pine and citrus. Big and brash: a top notch European DIPA.
