COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Keg at Mikkeller, Copenhagen. Aroma of tropical fruits, some grapefruit. Taste is a big explosion of fruity hops, a pretty perfumed taste with floral hops and a fair bittersweet finish. Definitely thinking flowers and fruits here. Very good.

Aroma: strong citrus, Appearance: orange gold, minimal head; Taste: medium bitterness, slight sourness, slight sweetness; Palate: full body, bitter finish, oily texture, soft carbonation Great fusion, retaining the hoppiness of Hardcore IPA but Adding maltiness, body and hiding alcohol. Perfect refinement.

Hops, hops and hops, and some high abv sweetness . Take two hop loving brewers, and you would guess this beer would take like this, but it is beautifully balanced, and dangerously drinkable. Great stuff.

Bottle from Cornelius in 2013 I think. Clear amber, small slightly off white head. Massive sticky hoppy nose. Strawberry and soft fruit, thick mouth feel, oily and bitter. Really good.

Bottle. Clear deep amber pour with small offwhite head. Intense aroma with with fresh flowers, peach and citrus. Some sweetness is felt already in the nose. Taste has short high bitterness and is quite sweet. Not balanced.

Draught, BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush. Fresh batch (kegged 8 days prior to tasting). Aroma of tropical fruits, caramel, toffee, pine, grapefruit. Rich orange/amber, clear, moderate off-white head that lasts reasonably. Big sweet caramel malt to start followed by rich fruits, then finishing long decent bitter. These hops are dank. Medium to full body, oily/sticky, moderate carb. Have had this when it’s old and it’s a let down; so much better when it’s fresh!

Half from brew dog bar. Light amber with a small head. Incredibly fruity aroma with lychee, citrus peel and pine. Taste is sharp bitterness and lingering sour/sweetness. Prickly carbonation with medium body, alcohol heat as well. Very nice.

Bottle 0.33l. Expected much more :-/. intermediate with aroma. Pretty clear solid gold colour with red reflection. Lightly. Not bitter as it is supposed to be. For me as it is imperial IPA, it is to sweet.
