English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Clear light amber, white head. Smells of sweet fruits (apricots, melon), light citrus, sweet malt and caramel. Very sweet taste with fruity notes again and caramel. Sweetest IPA I’ve ever had, light final hoppy bitterness.

Clean copper color with a good creamy white, persistent head. Citrus traces on the aroma, also with grapefruit and orange, tropical fruit like pineapple and mango and malty caramel with honey touches. The taste is bitter, resinous and dry, check with caramel and honey touches, with shades of mango, pineapple and grapefruit. Good balanced, medium carbonated and sweet and bitter finish. Outstanding!

A world-class beet, undoubtedly one of the best in its style. Delicious aroma, taste, mouthfeel and overall. Equally hoppy and malty, the predominant notes are to tropical fruits and biscuit in the malts. If a perfect beer exists, for sure it won’t be very different to this one.

Bottle @ BrewDog Aberdeen. Explosion of citra hops in the aroma, wow. Some fruit, strawberry. Clear golden amber with small off-white head. Tiny head is lasting. Heavy bitterness mixed with alcohol sweetness. Fruity. Yum. Finish is hoppy, bitter and warm. Soapy texture. Average carbonation. Rich body.

0,33L bottle. Pours clear amber-copper with white head. The head stays. Aroma is caramel, pine, fruits, and alcohol. Taste is very sweet, caramel, fruits, and pine. Finish is intense pine bitter with caramel. Alcohol is slightly noticeable. Overall: nice hoppy brew, but a little bit too sweet for my taste.

Drunk 18/05/14 at home while reading hops and glory. powered through part 1 with this badboy. pours amber with instant big fresh hoppy pine, flowers and some fruit. its a heady mix. taste is sweet on the tongue, big boozy punch and a lasting dry bitterness. tbh i was surprised at how drinkable it was. wished i had another one to tan right after as it woulda put me in that halfcut zone thats perfect for some hardcore reading

Pours clear amber colour with thin off-white head. Strong tangerine and grapefruit in the nose. Palate is thickish, silky with discreet carbo. Taste is massive ! Tangy, sweet, ripe fruit notes mix with the bitter grapefruit kick we’re all looking for. A beer to serve to all beer sceptics. Remarkable.

I’m yet to be disappointed by both breweries and this one is no exception. And yet I’m still on the fence on this brew. A collaboration made in heaven or hell one might say. A copper hue. The head is fothy. It is hoppy. But the body seems scooped. Earthy and unearthly flavors collide. Frankly, it is exquisite and the same time kinda decadent. Its like it would fit perfectly at some fine dining place and at the same time some dark, seedy speakeasy. I like and dislike it at the same time. I think the genius and idea supercedes the brew, but still try it.
