English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Pours cloudy orange. Thin, off-white head with virtually no lacing. Aroma is nice big caramel, tropical fruits, resin and some alcohol. Flavor is caramel sweetness with piney hops and bitter orange peel. Palate is medium bodied with long, bitter hop finish. Decent. Haven’t had Hardcore IPA, but definitely prefer I Beat You.

Courtesy of a trade from Strykzone. Poured a hazy orange with a foamy light tan head. Light lacing. Big hop nose with malts underneath. Medium body. Smooth mourthfeel. Flavor is complex with some nuances it seems of just about everything. But most of all it tastes good. Quite a beer.

On tap at the Green Onion in Utica, NY. Cloudy amber pour with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is more subdued than I expected, with subtle notes of nectar fruit, grass, evergreen, and caramel. Flavor is very sweet, with some big ripe peach, grass, and loads of sticky caramel sweetness. Palate is very rich and syrupy. I think this keg might have been hit by a bit of oxidation which I am guessing cut the vibrancy and bitterness I was hoping for, but it still tasted pretty good.

A clear amber colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of strong hops with fruits like citrus with spices. The taste of fruits like citrus and some orange with hop bitter. It’s very spicy in the back. The aftertaste is dry bitter with spices and a little sweet.

Bottle. Bought in Shinjuku. Excellent floral aroma. Small-medium head which dissolves somewhat quickly. Dark amber in color, full body, delicious! This beer has a lovely complexity consistent with Mikkeller brews, and hoppy bitterness consistent with BrewDog brews. Highly recommended.

A translucent bloody orange sits, calmly exuding a big white head of fluff. Aroma is all hops, delicious hops: spicy pine with a hint of sweet malt. I’m not a fan of hoppy beers but this is pretty close to perfection. A perfect balance of malt and spicy hops flow over a medium body. Simple, elegant, balanced and delicious.
