COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Bottle. Dark orange with creamy head. Aroma is really strong hops. Flavor is hops with a ton of malt. It almost is too malty. It does not have an intense hop flavor but is good. Very resinous and syrupy but is a nice beer overall.

Good hopped aroma with fruit and flowers. The taste is fruity and very bitter. Bitterness is intense in the aftertaste and fills the mouth for a long while. After a while you realize that this beer is very very bitter. Far from what I think is a good beer, unfortunately. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

33cl bottle bb07/2015 recommended by Village de la Bière, Strasbourg I/2015. A potent specimen of combined new wave craftmanship, this near-triple DIPA combines boiled down treacleloads of both modern hop artists’ hop signatures, its slowly opening flavour approximating a reticent black hole of slick quince marmelade, citrus pith paste, dessert mango, pear and gooseberry jelly. Never becomes too bitter or hop-aggressive despite all that, while the malt base remains a supporting ectoplasm. Indeed a hardcore piece of hop brawn & the balancing brains in brewing, - also more of an admirable than a loveable sipper.

Roasry malta caramel and slight lemon grass. Taste is like aromas with a slightly watered down finish. Appearance is a lear amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.

Flot rav-farvet øl. Cool design på flasken. Frugt agtig smag, fin bitterhed. Mild duft. God øl

Creamy head. Orange in colour. Sweet but not sickeningly so. Taste of pineapple. Aroma is fruity. Texture is smoooooth.

Bottle in the Netherlands. Beautiful colour when poured and hoppy aromas. In mouth it feels bitter, yet sweet and very well balanced. A top brew

American-style double IPA made at Brewdog with the collaboration of Mikkeller - and if these two avantgardists join forces, something exciting is bound to come out of it. Clear, warm, beautiful orange colour with quiet sparkling; loose, milky, irregular, rather thin (despite the hops!) head leaving a thin veil over the liquid. Expectedly, the aroma is ruled by strong citrusy hops; I get tons of pink grapefruit, fresh orange peel, wormwood and pine needles, along with acacia honey, toasted bread, fresh pineapple slices, dandelion leaves, brandy, vanilla, overripe peach, starfruit, sundried tomatoes, some cantaloupe, liquorice even. This beguiling aroma is rewarded in the mouth: a pointy, refined, delicate but feisty vanilla-like sweetness opens the palate among noble fruitiness (peach, pineapple, redcurrant, papaja), playing around in the mouth vividly and joyfully... Middle phase has a smooth and resinous character, high quality maltiness, with the hops already knocking on the door. The finish is ruled by citrussy, peppery, resinous and grassy hop bitterness, very vibrant and crisp, long, dry and complex, interacting beautifully with the lingering malt sweetness. The alcohol, though considerable, remains very well hidden. This is on a par with many of the greatest American double IPAs, but then, how could a collaboration between Brewdog and Mikkeller ever go wrong...
