English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Bottle. Aroma of lots of grapefruit, lots of malt, and lots of alcohol. Flavor heavy sweet, heavy bitter, alcohol still abounds. Pretty straightforward, hops are nice but very one-note. Just too much alcohol to be enjoyable for more than a few sips.

Pours orange like color, haze, with foamy stable yellowish off-white head. Visually low carbonation. Aroma: intense hop aroma, which takes on some tropical fruits, like mango, papaya, some peaches, etc., with malt aroma in the background, which reminds on caramel, but with more like biscuit character. Flavor: intense, with surprisingly high malt flavors, which takes on biscuit, toffee, with note of liquorice, mint, peppermint, and stong hop flavors, which takes on pine, tropical fruits, peaches and some citruses. Finish is slightly bitter, sticky/dry. Body is medium to full, carbonation is soft, texture is silky.

Malts, caramel, sweet overripe fruit, hops.

Slightly turbid amber beer with a slight off-white head.

Starts sweet with malts and overripe fruit; gets more bitter towards the end; ends slightly bitter and hoppy.

Even een borrel na de bevalling! Diep warm honingzoet, kruidige hop, soort van koude sinasappelthee met balsamico en suiker. Hoptoeter. Op ’t leven. Backlog from 2015/02/06.

(BrewDog / Mikkeller I Hardcore You) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 9.5% Deep orange to red colour on the body, clear, with a snall and a bit thin off-white head sitting on top. Average retention. Nice aroma, very fruity, with mango, tropical fruits, alcohol, caramel malts. Taste begins sweet with caramel matls, tropical fruits, pineaplle, mango, then turns to a nice bitterness with hops and a bit of pine. Well hidden alcohol on the taste. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good, I bet it’s even better when it’s fresh.
