COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: I Hardcore You is a 9.5% Imperial India Pale Ale, an international collaborative effort between 2 of Europe’s most rock ’n roll brewers. This beer is a blend of BrewDog’s Hardcore IPA and Mikkeller’s I Beat You. After the blending, the beer was then dry hopped a further twice. Making I Hardcore You a beer which has been dry hopped four times, or maybe even six times. We kinda lost count.

Date: 3/19/2011 Source:Butters Spicy herbal hop notes over caramel in aroma. Slightly cloudy deep orange golden with fine white head. Resiny floral hops over moderate caramel sweetness. Moderately grainy under all the hops. Medium body and mouth. Very bitter with some bitter hop astringency lingering.

On tap at Strangeways. Pours a hazy dark orange with a cream colored head. Big aroma of grapefruit, peach, and pine. Fruit and pine in the flavor as well but with a lot of caramel sweetness. Really nice bitterness. Creamy texture. Very good.

33cl bottle. Pours a beautiful amber-red with gentle but steady bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has fresh pine with a hint of grapefruit pith. The taste has a big earthy thing going on - maybe parsnip with dried apricot. The palate is at least medium bodied and has a big creamy and tangy texture through the middle and a long bitter finish. Overall, a well executed imperial IPA which is surprisingly balanced.

A very complex dIPA that lingers into the category of an English Imperial IPA mixed with a barley wine. Very deep malting from the BrewDog Hardcore IPA and the strong citrus notes from the "I Beat You" and extra hopping. Expect a pleasantly dry, crisp, and lemony finish. Definitely a wonderfully hop journey for your taste buds.

I really love this beer. . . absolutely amazing balance between hoppy flavors, numerous distinct fruity / sweet accents, and candied malt base. There are other beers that capture the airy bubblegum flavor or the creamy caramel flavor, but I can’t think of another beer that brings them all together so nicely. Also, surprisingly drinkable for the potency. I was actually shocked to see it’s 9.5 here, I would have guessed 8, 8.5. Bonus: Sidle up to your better half and seductively reveal the lable of the beer to them. It works surprisingly well.

bottled, xmas day 2010 drinks with skykob and mowbeer. a clear orange with a modest head; big juicy aroma of pine and grapefruit with hints of freshly mown grass and green peppercorns; very sweet with some mango and pineapple and a somewhat predictable tangy bitter finish. enjoyable but didn’t really stand out in the middle of an impressive line-up

FROTHINGSLOSH (3386) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Sampled on draft at The House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with a large creamy orange-white head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was bitter and tangy pine and grapefruit. The flavor was sweetish and tangy with a strong pine presence and notes of bitter grapefruit, pineapple, table sugar and light notes of bread, caramel and herbal hops. The finish was very long and tangy with lingering pineapple and grapefruit. Full bodied and thick. Excellent.

12-oz. Thanks B! Pours a cloudy orange dark amber with a big creamy tan head. Mild lacing. Big fresh grapefruit and blood orange nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Grapefruits and blood oranges on the mid palate, along with toast and caramel. Very crisp, fresh, bright, and acidic hop bite, but beautifully integrated and harmonious overall.

Bottle from Craig, thank-you! Zest, spicy Seville marmalade, vanilla cheesecake, pithy bitterfinish. Hazy amber with slight beige head.

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with _angst_ Cuivrée/orangée, col fin beige.
