This 5.2% complex yet unpretentious ale is our birthday salute to Moshi Moshi Records; at 15 years old they’re not old enough to drink it, but if they were, we know they’d love it as much as we do. A rich biscuity malt base takes the bassline, with the odd caramel pop and slap. Heavy hop riffs play on top; resinous resonance from the rhythm guitar, and the bitter notes we love so much on lead.
That’s enough of the musical metaphors. Stick a record on, sit back, and enjoy this beer.

Bottle @ home from Les Bičre de Celestin, Lille - FR. Color: clear amber beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: grassy and hoppy domination. Fresh nose, really pleasant with flowers notes. Taste: Good balance of malt and hops. Really easy to drink with grassy and floral notes. Bottle at home from Brewdog online. Rich deep orange / red coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is initially grassy lemon citrus, then caramel and sweet resinous pine. Some soapy lemon aroma come out later. Flavour is biscuit malt with a touch of toast, hops are lemon cif, spicy pine needles and a bit of grassy in the finish. Palate is nice medium body with fluffy carbonationand a touch of resin on the tongue. Decent pale ale. Nice layering in the hops.

Bottle at ’t Antwaerps Bierhuyske, Antwerp. Poured a light hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and some clingy lacing. The aroma is huge hoppy floral citrus. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a resin woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A really odd beer in some ways. Felt a bit plastic and artificial in the finish. I was happy to drink a bottle but I would not order a second.

Bottle from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring on Thames, Oxon, consumed at Frank (camper) Naranja de Bulnes, a campsite at Arenas de Cabrales, Pico’s de Europe, Spain, Sunday 15th June 2014 Pours light amber/warm gold with filmy white head. Malty initially and also feels quite thick in the mouth, a little sweet, but I am guessing that there are some punchy NW Pacific hops here because they certainly assert themselves well. Its really pleasant. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
