This 5.2% complex yet unpretentious ale is our birthday salute to Moshi Moshi Records; at 15 years old they’re not old enough to drink it, but if they were, we know they’d love it as much as we do. A rich biscuity malt base takes the bassline, with the odd caramel pop and slap. Heavy hop riffs play on top; resinous resonance from the rhythm guitar, and the bitter notes we love so much on lead.
That’s enough of the musical metaphors. Stick a record on, sit back, and enjoy this beer.

0,33 flaske (bb.021214), på hytta: uklar mørk gylden med kort skum. God aroma av appelsin, overmoden ananas, furu og karamellmalt. Smaken er like god, og bitterheten dominerer over sødmen. Lett munnfylde, denne glir greit ned. Slank, lett bitter og fruktig ettersmak.

Bottle. An unclear, dark golden beer topped by a dense, finger-thick light beige head. Malty aroma with grapefruit peel and pine cones. Some sweetness in the flavor, but with a nice bitterness overpowering the sweetness. Grapefruit peel, resins and some caramel malts. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Semi-dry. Lasting bitter finish with a malty background. Quite decent this one, but too malt forward I think. 141213

Backlog rating. 33cl bottle from Brewdog Shoreditch, London. It pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is intensely hoppy and fruity with fresh pineapple, mango and apricots. Some grassy flowery notes too. Taste is bitter and hoppy but not overly so, with some good fruity sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, very tasty pale ale
