3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Drank from a bottle at home. A very interesting beer! It tastes like a normal, well hopped beer but misses the kick of alcohol.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours chestnut with a low rocky beige collar. Deeply aromatic with a huge waft of mango, overripe melon and lychee over background coffee bean roast and citrus. Fine soapy hop aggressive with grapefruit and tropical citrus; coffee again, a shaving of nut, truffle-like bitterness. Only the roundedness, finish and buzz of alcohol is missing. Now, if they could just master a calorie and alcohol-free IPA that gets you shit-faced...

Gedronken bij dutchdrebus. Kleur is bruin van kleur en helder. Ruikt hoppig en fris. Smaakt wel hoppig en bitter maar vooral ook waterig.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2013 Bottle at The Broker in Oslo. Resin and pine shavings and sap and all of that. Has some cola malz and peanuts notes with a strong toasted brown malt. Harsh and astringent hop bitterness with prickly and lively hop acid. Grapefruit juice, wood, nuts (Chinook?), some dog food malt and a touch of artificial sweetener. Sourish, grainy, husky amber malt finish. The body is interesting, though it’s thin for sure, as expected, but it’s full enough to work. The Christmas tree pine resin note is off-putting but I commend BrewDog for pulling off such a low gravity beer with so much malt character.

Insanely hopped indeed. Like an Ipa but it is somewhat watered down unfortunately. The Emelisse 2.5 might have 2 percent more alcohol but is a masterpiece where this is just good. Bottle at the Twaalf Balcken in Den Burg.

@ Ölkväll o bryggning i Källna (15/11-13). Flaska från Systembolaget (12:-). Trevlig, humlig doft med med citrustoner. Smaken däremot är som välhumlat vatten med en löjligt stor beska. Eftersmaken är bara besk.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is dominated by the spicy hops as one might expect. The flavour is weak bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a thin texture. The palate is watery despite the abundance of hops. This beer would be better with alcohol. Hey, there’s a novel idea! Fine for a driver, but not for anyone who is walking!
