And this time it is all about the beer, and the beer is awesome! Gone are the 200+ IBUs which brought grown men to tears! Our new Nanny State is 0.5% ABV and focuses on being a great drink as opposed to a great publicity ploy. This beer is now focussed on getting all that is good about BrewDog into a practically alcohol free format. It is a West Coast inspired pale ale with a difference!

The beer has 45 IBUS and is brewed with centennial, amarillo, columbus, cascade and simcoe and intensively dry-hopped with centennial and amarillo. The backbone is provided by 8 different types of speciality malts with only 87 kilos of malt used in a 20HL batch (our Punk IPA uses 450 kilos in 20HL).

Mökillä. Really pleasant low alcohol beer! Body is a bit thin, still well balanced and enjoyably hopped.

Bottle from S-market. Pale with medium head. Fruity and floral aroma. Bitterness. Dry finnish. Can't believe there's no alcohol. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours cloudy copper with a frothy, medium-sized white head. The aroma displays the various elements of the hop cavalcade in this beer: it offers plenty of citrus fruitiness and piney notes. Taste is a bit of a let-down considering the impressive aroma. The hops are prominent but the malt background is very thin and the palate watery. Hop bitterness is medium in strength. Some fruitiness and pine appear in the taste but fade away fairly quickly. Very fresh to drink and even interesting at first because of the hoppiness, but in the end too much is missing. Best low alcohol beer I have had, though.

Prominent taste of hops and malt that leaves an earthen taste upon your tongue. A pleasant enough a beer with a rich taste if you like your beer just a little bit bitter.

At my home with wim. Light brown colored beer with large diminishing white head and no carbonation. Hopped floral aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is hopped.

Appearance- pretty clear, bubbles at the bottom of the glass, dark amber, ruby tinge, small fizzy white head. Aroma- malty, hint of milky chocolate, choc covered raisins, fruity, toffee. Taste- a bit chocolatey, hop bitterness, some malt in the background, a bit of dark fruit and bitter orange, medium to thin mouthfeel, short finish which leaves a bit of bitterness. Interesting.

Clear copper-coloured beer with minimal head that disappears very quickly, giving it a quite unpleasant appearance. Smells fruity. Aromas of fruits and citrus hops are present, but are not that strong and disappear quickly. Fruity nose that is appealing, but which does not come back in its taste. Tastes far from fruity, mainly malty, slightly metalic and very watery. Quite thin, with a light body. Very heavy carbonated. Mildly bitter towards the end and in its aftertaste, which lasts quite long and which gives you lots of evidence of he present hops. Not that bad within its kind. Tastier than most of the low alcoholic beers though (Radler e.g). However, this kind of beer will never be my favorite.

To be a non-alcoholic beer, it is pretty good. But not to be a regular beer.
