COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
And this time it is all about the beer, and the beer is awesome! Gone are the 200+ IBUs which brought grown men to tears! Our new Nanny State is 0.5% ABV and focuses on being a great drink as opposed to a great publicity ploy. This beer is now focussed on getting all that is good about BrewDog into a practically alcohol free format. It is a West Coast inspired pale ale with a difference!

The beer has 45 IBUS and is brewed with centennial, amarillo, columbus, cascade and simcoe and intensively dry-hopped with centennial and amarillo. The backbone is provided by 8 different types of speciality malts with only 87 kilos of malt used in a 20HL batch (our Punk IPA uses 450 kilos in 20HL).

Clear mahogany with one finger frothy light brown head and some lacing. Strong aroma has grapefruit and spruce, some tropical fruit nuances and caramel malt underneath. Very light, bit watery, strong bitterness and quite dry but fruity nuances balance, long and bitter finish which has some mango tones in the end, standard carbonation. Light and bitter as h*ll, not that easy to drink. Not one of my favorites but this has some appeal like the finish delivering mango as a kind of bonus.

Thanks Srđan & Nataša! Bottle at Csak a Jó Sör. Got this for us to try to show them the versatility of beers. Bronze body. Lovely piney peach ice tea aroma, light lemony notes, sweetish. Empty taste, of course, light tropical notes, sweetish, light bitterness. Great for what it is.

Klar brun farve med lyst skum. Lukt av fruktig humle og gress. Smak av fruktig humle og karamell. Noe bitter avslutning. Vinmonopolet.

Bottle at S&G. APPEARANCE: clear darker blond beer, small unstable off white head. NOSE: hoppy, lytchee, very fruity and fresh. TASTE: fresh, hoppy, dry, bitter aftertaste. Amazing for it’s ABV!

330ml bottle from Brewdog shop. Bubbly off white head disappears quickly, good lacing. Clear dark amber body. Good nose of pine and citrus. Flavour less good, grass, straw, a little biscuity, lingering bitter grass. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, medium carbonation. Decent for a near enough alcohol free beer, refreshing enough but a lightweight among the usual Brewdog efforts.

Bottled. Pours hazy brown with a big light brown head. Smells a bit sour, fruity hoppy. Tastes clear bitter fresh hoppy, watery with a similar finish.

Bottle from Asahiya. Thick piney hop and rough crude tea aromas. Light golden amber color. Very mild caramel / trashy harsh hops / ends up more like a heavy tea than anything else. Thin body, with a rasty hop texture. Nice try. Falls off fast in mid palate and finish is empty. Another novelty from the novelty mongers. Next.

Red, dark brown beer with a beige head. Very fruity and floral hoppy aroma. Very watery body. Very harsh, dry and grassy bitterness. The best non-alcoholic beer but this is like hopped water, nothing else.

Brew dog have themselves narrow criteria with this one, and it’s quite nice overall, but amazing when compared to other "near beers". Reminds me a bit of the pretty things 1942 recipe remake, but in a good way

This is important! It’s 0,5%! Brewdog proves successfully that it’s possible to create an excellent beer with almost no alcohol in it. It’s a taste of a warm summer night. Flowers, citrus and hops. Lots of hops! As they say: "Plug in, kick back and enjoy as we welcome to the stage the world’s first low ABV beer officially cranked up to 11"
