COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
And this time it is all about the beer, and the beer is awesome! Gone are the 200+ IBUs which brought grown men to tears! Our new Nanny State is 0.5% ABV and focuses on being a great drink as opposed to a great publicity ploy. This beer is now focussed on getting all that is good about BrewDog into a practically alcohol free format. It is a West Coast inspired pale ale with a difference! The beer has 45 IBUS and is brewed with centennial, amarillo, columbus, cascade and simcoe and intensively dry-hopped with centennial and amarillo. The backbone is provided by 8 different types of speciality malts with only 87 kilos of malt used in a 20HL batch (our Punk IPA uses 450 kilos in 20HL).

Bottle 33 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Courtesy of ChristianScheffel. Pours a pretty and warm amber with a beige head. Fresh and fairly intense peach aroma. Light body, thin and watery, some nutty accents and pleasant aroma hops that leave a solid bitterness. Impressive range of flavours in such a small beer. 040610

Bottle @ Bir and Fud beershop, Rome. Pours unclear amber with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is various exotic hops. Orange and tropical. Medium bodied. Amazing for a 0,5% beer.

hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 11, 2010
Bottle… Clear copper ale with a quickly dissipating head. The nose is piney, earthy and musky with undertones of leather and caramel. Light-bodied, watery and astringent with jazzy carbonation. Refreshing essence of bitter, earthy, flavorful hops… pulls up just shy of heavily bitter. Thin, for certain. Finishes crisp, coarse, and then dry. Since I shy away from anything over .5% abv during the work week nowadays, I’d drink a bottle of this every evening with dinner if it were readily available. By a country mile, the best n/a beer I’ve ever experienced. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

amber colour. light body no alcohol. doesn’t present particular aromas because i could only notice a massive presence of hops and a costant bitter flavour. this beer is really drinkable buti suggest it only to those who love really hoppy and bitter beers

12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear mahogany with a long lasting white head. Some lacing. Nice looking beer. Nose is terrific with some light caramel and a huge wall of pine and citrus hops. Tastewise it is what it is. Soda water up front with a very faint hint of caramel malt. A light cereal note lingers in the finish. Clean solid bitterness and some light fruitiness from the hops. This beer could be helped by a better selection of flavor hops, because you do notice the lack of malt, there is no denying it. This is a valiant effort though, and by far and away the best NA beer I have ever had, I gave it a high overall score in recognition of its achievement within the style.

Bottle@Home. Lots of hops and nice mouth feel. Surprisingly good for a LA beer. But in my opinion too hoppy for body and sweetness. Not really a beer that you can drink instead of a normal session ale.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with smallish offwhite head. Minimal lacing. Great resiny pine hop aroma with just the faintest sweet malt coming through. Taste wise not much happening. Bitter finish with not much else. Very thin with no malt backbone. Kinda how I imagine hop tea to taste. Somewhat better than other available low abv beers but that is about all.
