And this time it is all about the beer, and the beer is awesome! Gone are the 200+ IBUs which brought grown men to tears! Our new Nanny State is 0.5% ABV and focuses on being a great drink as opposed to a great publicity ploy. This beer is now focussed on getting all that is good about BrewDog into a practically alcohol free format. It is a West Coast inspired pale ale with a difference!

The beer has 45 IBUS and is brewed with centennial, amarillo, columbus, cascade and simcoe and intensively dry-hopped with centennial and amarillo. The backbone is provided by 8 different types of speciality malts with only 87 kilos of malt used in a 20HL batch (our Punk IPA uses 450 kilos in 20HL).

Bottle from K-supermarket at Kamppi, Helsinki (€ 4,89 - thefuck?!?) in August 2014. Batch 119. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white well-retaining head that leaves some good lacing. Nose is at first quite modest. After having it warmed I get... still not much. It’s all very vague, with some mild caramelly-fruity-floral tones... Taste is malty with some straightforward hop bitterness coming in right after. I think it’s just robust and not at all enjoyable. Very thin body with a watery palate, soft carbonation and a bitterish finish, leaving the inside of the mouth dry. The most I’ve ever paid for the least... I feel like a cheat but I’m still giving it a 10 overall since it’s probably among the better ones in this ABV range...

A very special beer with low alcohol content, really a lot of hops but the beer has almost no body at all. Quite nice anyway.

Dark cooper color, large tan head. Very floral aroma lots of hops in the aroma. Hoppy beverage, piney bitter with lots of hops flavor. Not very malty, not sweet at all. It's not fair to compare this to Punk IPA or Stone IPA as it's a very if fervent beverage. It's definitely the best NA beer I have ever had. If it was available locally I would have this with lunch often. Please export to the US!

Koper kleurig bier. Met witte schuimkraag. Smaak hoppig en een beetje waterig. Smaak hoppig . Lekker bier met een lage alcoholpercentage . Gedronken met Bryan.

33 cl. bottle from Systembolaget. A beer brought at the Swedish Systembolaget called Nanny State - irony or total lack of humor? Oh, well. Clear amber colour with golden hues. Big, fluffy off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, resin, light toast, grapefruit and grasses. Taste is bitter. Light body with a thinner texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes lasting bone dry and bitter with citrus and exotic fruits. Excellent for a Low Alcohol. However, the bitterness and lack of sweetness from malts makes it hard to drink more than one bottle.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. Landscape from red-orange to orange -yellow at the bottom of my glass. Small white head. Poor persistence. Fruity aroma (tropical fruits, citrus), herbs, resin : a few aromatic colors in a chaotic view. Light sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish with a sour note. Overall, a beautiful poem with words randomized. I didn’t like the result but I liked the experiment.

Bottle. Clear Dark Golden pour, minimal head. Very fruity nose. Taste is fruity at first, then a long very bitter finish. Notes of coffee or roasted malts. Decent ladybeer..

Ska man köra så varför inte. Passar jättebra vid sådana tillfällen och för folk som inte kan dricka starkare grejer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Initial aroma is pleasant, the head builds up nicely but falls apart after a short whole in a soapy manner. The color is much darker than expected. The aroma falls apart after head has dissolved. The taste is downright disappointing. After taste makes me reach for the tooth brush. This is a really a bad tea more than a good beer.

Bottle 330ml at home, poured into a lager glass, ABV 0.5% Dark copper orange to amber in colour, tall and quite thick off-white head, with great retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Great aroma, lots of hops providing notes of citrus, mandarines, tropical fruits, light caramel malts. The taste doesn’t avoid the heavy maltiness or cereal of low alcohol beers but it’s not that.. heavy. Some iron too. There are still lots hoppy evidences with a quite strong bitterness on the aftertaste. Thin body, high carbonation, very dry palate. Overall a great beer for what it is, definitely the best low alcohol beer I have had. Certainly beats any radler, both in taste and refreshing taste.
