2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
33cl bottle. It pours a amber/brown colour with steady bubbles and a good head. The nose is of pine, grapefruit and grapefruit pith. The taste is what I imagine a hop tea would resemble. The palate is light to medium and then it disappears. It needs alcohol to balance it. Overall, wouldn’t have another but not the worst low alcohol beer I’ve had.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at Slutfest 2.0. Hop tea. Balanced and bitter. Complex hop profile of ’green’ hops and good lingering hop bitterness. Watery and hoppy. Good for what it is.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Well whad’ya know, it is actually possible to make a good low-alcohol beer! The first impression is close to flawless: a dark golden hazy body with a large, long-lasting off-white head that leaves excellent lacing. I have to agree with Brew Dog: the aroma is insanely hoppy, with pine, resin and herbs. The same goes for the taste: a massive hoppy bitterness. But of course, you can’t kill the alcohol without being punished: the body is very, very thin with a watery texture. Soft carbonation. [33 cl bottle, courtesy of mfroseth]

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted 2011-04-18. As my 600th rating I chose this, the best non-alc beer, we’ve been able to find (the wife is preggy, so she’s off the hard stuff). It pours unclear, brown/orange with off white head. It has a very hoppy aroma with notes of toffee. It has a rather weak taste, but still it’s quite tasty. Moderately bitter finish. Even though it’s a bit watery, it actually ranks up there with some of the good, boozed ones for me. Thumbs up!

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33 cl bottle at home. Clear amber color, nice off-white head. Aroma has lots of hops, like an IPA! Flavor has fine bitterness from the hops, but the body is thin, as expected. Very good low alcohol-beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Didn’t realise it was only 0.5% before I opened the bottle but tasted ok for something that low, clear amber body with short head, resiny aroma, grainy and pine in the taste.
