COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
And this time it is all about the beer, and the beer is awesome! Gone are the 200+ IBUs which brought grown men to tears! Our new Nanny State is 0.5% ABV and focuses on being a great drink as opposed to a great publicity ploy. This beer is now focussed on getting all that is good about BrewDog into a practically alcohol free format. It is a West Coast inspired pale ale with a difference!

The beer has 45 IBUS and is brewed with centennial, amarillo, columbus, cascade and simcoe and intensively dry-hopped with centennial and amarillo. The backbone is provided by 8 different types of speciality malts with only 87 kilos of malt used in a 20HL batch (our Punk IPA uses 450 kilos in 20HL).

Bottle from prisma, järvenpää. Dark copper color, white head. Aroma is all fresh hops. Light bodied but very nicely hopped, lemon notes, dry hoppy ending.

Pours an amber color with a crème head. Aroma is full of citrussy hops, limes and passion fruit. Of course it is, cause it’s a Brewdog. The taste is a dry bitter, crispy. The taste itself isn’t full at all, but the loads of hops give this beer a more than reasonable aftertaste. Leaves a roasted taste at the back of the tongue and a mouthful of hops. Easily drinkable. Weak for an IPA, but as far as low ABV beers are concerned Nanny State is king.

Amber with bit head. Nice explosive hoppy aroma, citrus resin and herbal. Ligh body and strong bitterness, so drinkable but nice beer!

Intense hoppy aroma with scents of citrus, flowers, mango puré and a light roasted scent. Palate is thin with a huge bitterness. A slight toffee flavour and grapefruit peel. Interesting beer, but more of a hop extract then anything else. No balance at all.

Overraskende god.

Amber coloured beer with off-white head. Full fruity hop aroma. Taste is missing some depth but the hop makes up for it. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Copper color, off-white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of pine and cookies. Watery, hoppy flavor with a lingering bitter finish. Light body, medium carbonation. Sadly the flavor doesn't equal the appealing aroma and the beer comes off as uneven. Not sure when I'd choose this over a non-alcoholic pils or lager.
