And this time it is all about the beer, and the beer is awesome! Gone are the 200+ IBUs which brought grown men to tears! Our new Nanny State is 0.5% ABV and focuses on being a great drink as opposed to a great publicity ploy. This beer is now focussed on getting all that is good about BrewDog into a practically alcohol free format. It is a West Coast inspired pale ale with a difference!

The beer has 45 IBUS and is brewed with centennial, amarillo, columbus, cascade and simcoe and intensively dry-hopped with centennial and amarillo. The backbone is provided by 8 different types of speciality malts with only 87 kilos of malt used in a 20HL batch (our Punk IPA uses 450 kilos in 20HL).

Bottle at home. This beer is clear and has a dark amber color, and some beige foam. The aroma is filled with fruity hops, grapefruit, pine needles and rye. The taste has more rye bread, burnt malt and nuts, and something strange bitterness in the end. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and has a sharp bitterness. Its aroma is gentle, and the taste is unbalanced with roasted tones. Has a lot of bitterness in the end.

For a 0.5% beer this is pretty tops. Drank the shit out of it on the drive home. Had about 6 more when I got home and didnít feel a thing. Pissed like a truck though

Bottle from supermarket. Deep sold colour fizzy white head. Big hoppy aroma and a very bitter finish. Not get a great depth of flavour or complexity but for a no alcohol beer itís great.

Clear deep amber color, thin off white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, some fruitiness, malt, flowers. Taste of... Well, water. Light touch of caramel, citrus, grass and tea. Light body, soft to average carbonation. Not good.

Bottle. Brown body with tan head. Aroma is fruity with citrus and pines. Taste is thin with some malts and hints of caramel and water. Aftertaste is bitter with hints of malts. Best alcohol free I ever had.

330ml bottle. Pours amber with bubbly off-white head. Aroma is light citrus. Taste is rather light and airy citrus with a bitter finish. Obviously not going to be a hop-bomb. But for what it is, itís alright.

not a fan, i donít taste anything about hops and something that remind me mineral water. Itís ok, i think, for the style.

On tap at Brewdog Birmingham, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Nose brings out light biscuity notes with only a touch of hops. Flavour is quite rancid really, with metallic notes and biscuity malt, with a harsh astringency on the finish. Why would you ever drink this? Quite gross really. Drain pour.

Golden copper. Almost no head. watery body but fair amount of hops. There is an aftertaste of cardboard that i donít like. Overall it is a good performance for a hoppy low alcohol beer.
