4.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 jaasland (3) - NORWAY - APR 27, 2013 does not count
Extremely pleasant to drink. Not to much aroma, but that might be related to a bit cold serving temperature. Otherwise a fantastic beer!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 neuromatt (858) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2013
330 mL bottle courtesy of Chris, served in a stem glass alongside its constituent beers. Pours black with a tiny tan head that fades to almost nothing, leaving a tiny amount of lace. The nose is a complex blend of chocolate, roasted malts and molasses along with herbs, a touch of earth and hops. The flavour is a beautiful blend of the three base beers, with molasses, herbs, anise, earth and a touch of coffee. The finish is long, peppery, herbal and roasty. On the palate, it is full in body with a smooth, syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is an amazing complex brew that is harmonic while retaining distinct elements of the three base beers. Beautiful! 2013-01-25
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Vestergaard (109) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2013
Black beer - no head. As in: No head. looks like tar. Oily thick lacing, but no head what so ever. Strong aroma of chocolate, booze and licorice. Little smoked too. Sweet notes of blackcurrant paired with bitter coffee and chocolate. The licorice is present as well, but not as much as in the aroma. It feels like the strong effect from the alcohol is replacing the CO2, but perhaps it’s still a little too flat. Tastes great though!
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 LoFi (1345) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle.
Black with a dark brown tinge, and a dark brown head that disappears instantly.
Aroma: roasted, licorice, dark chocolate, creamy, sticky toffee.
Taste: chocolate liqueur, licorice, boozy, syrup, coffee, toffee, something else I can’t exactly pinpoint but recognize from some other high ABV stouts like Dark Horizon 3 and Tokyo* (I described it as red onions in DH3, and maybe it’s something like that).
Full bodied.
This is too sweet really, but still pretty nice.

330 ml bottle, at a Brewdog tasting summer 2012. Pitch black with little head. Aroma is very complex and sweet, leather, coffee, alcohol are just some of the notes sound. Taste is very very sweet, dark sugars, syrup, complex malt flavors. Full body.
