4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer is marked by the incredible levels of sweetness achieved. Coffee and chocolate predominate at the effect is quite something. Masks the booze well. While excellent, I can’t help but feel that the individual beers are better flavour and value. Epic beer non-the-less!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Pours new-moon black with no head. The aroma is an intense, fiery swirl of fudge, chocolate crème, espresso & ethanol. Full-bodied and oily with soft carbonation. The intense, sweet flavor is constructed with espresso, light molasses and dark chocolate mocha. Finishes nourishing, bittersweet and boozy. A little rough around the edges, but otherwise quite nice. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Shared bottle at Grünerløkka mat- og mikrobryggfestival. Pours pitch black with a minimal beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruits, chocolate, fruits and coffee. Pretty intense aromas, but well balanced. Alcohol is noticable, but pretty well integrated. Full body. Very chocolaty and quite sweet with a slightly dry and bitter finish. Delicious Imperial Stout! 3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A-- Poured black, syrupy black. Just a bit of red ruby on the sides of the glass and a very short lived film that quickly vacated the glass. Mostly chocolate syrup looking and a good layer of oil that covered the glass. Fair amount of alcohol legs.
S-- Sweet nose. Char and ash to start but changed to port, date, chocolate and dark fruits. Mostly dark cherry. Alcohol is well hidden for the size of the beer. Honestly was surprised.
T-- Syrupy, thick and sweet. Mostly reminded me of a port. Decent amount of chocolate and roast malts to carry this pretty well. Other notes were molasses and some toffee.
M-- Rich, syrupy, and oily. Once again the alcohol is quite well hidden. Get more of the Brewdog part of the beer than anything else. Very little char and ash and a lot of dark fruits and chocolate. Little carbonation but it worked well.
O-- Slow, slow sipper. Shared the bottle 4 ways and that was prefect. Unsure how could do a 330 alone or even attempt to with all the sweetness to this. Still get enough of the base beer to like it. Good long term cellaring prospects for this.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Khioskh.
Black beverage, rapidly disappearing head.
Molasses, coffee, a hint of the alcohol snapping at your nose. A shipload of sweet malt, burned sugar, smaoke and oak. Incredibly rich.
