4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ bready, thanks vaiz! Aroma is huge liquorice, coffee, roast, burned molasses. Flavour is very roasty liquorice molasses coffee madness, hugely bitter and roasty yet sweet at the same time. Quite some alcohol in the finish. Long lingering roasty liquorice. Hefty but very nice.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Imperial stout d’autore!

37,5cl bottle at Gainsbar in Kortrijk - Belgium. Pours dark dark. Fantastic aroma! Shouldn’t characterize this beer with denominations, it’s one of a kind! Reminds me of some very old matured beers I tasted years back. Hell yeh!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells like a light engine oil which is a hint of what is to come. A dark mixture of bitter chocolate & coffee with a sweet taste that is well balanced with some bitter hops. The long woody finish is extremely pleasant. Given this is a blend of three beers this a perfectly balanced beer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 6, 2014 -15,2%. Tasted in the city of gold, Johannesburg- pours pitch black with little reddish head. Huge aroma of dark fruits, roasted, burnt, coffee, port wine, vanilla, chocolate and some alcohol. Very fruity, vinous and burning palate. Aftertaste is port wine, cherry, dark fruit, burnt, vanilla, oak and some alcohol. Lingering dry chocolate and fruity alcohol finish. Nice alcohol burn in the stomach. Overall: wow. What a nice beer. The aroma could be a little more in your face, but this small problem compensates by a wonderful mix of dark fruity port notes and roasted malt. After a long time without a nice imperial stout, it poured directly into my hearth.
