Shared bottle @ Cardinal. Black as black can be, packed with aromas. I really cant describe this beer as my mouth got violated by all the flavors who wanted to join the game. The alcohol is well masked by all the flavors! Its a really special ale which should only be experienced by all beer-geeks. A truly great collab. brew!

My perfect beer. Big sweet, and dark. Pours pitch black with a small head. No light gets through this. Had it twice, the original batch after it had been aged a couple years and the more recent batch, only a couple months old. The younger batch was much more "wild" with the alcohol being more noticable than in the original batch with some age on it...

Definitivamente um achado, cor escura como leo sem espumada (nada mesmo). Na boca licorosa como um vinho do porto se destacando notas de ameixa talvez um pouco de prpolis. uma cerveja nica!

Bottle - Smells gorgeous - smoke, soy, tar , brown sugar, alkohol. Looks lovely - Deep black body, brown creamy short lived head. You can see how he beer really sticks to the glass when swirling it, probably the brown sugar. Taste is complex, sweet - brown sugar, soy, smoke, woody, vanilla, the carbonation disappears quite fast but that doesnt affect the beer in a negative way, I would rather say its better without. Its easy to forget that this little fella has a ABV at 17.2% - share it with a friend.

This beer is more than outstanding. Mathematically speaking its like outstanding^2. Appearance: Pitch black, you wont see anything on the other side of the glass, so dont even bother looking. I took a photo of it and checked in GIMP and it was 0,0,0 in RGB meaning it was pure black. And it really is. Head was dark tan, medium in size and dropped pretty quickly, leaving no trace neither on the glass or the beer. Aroma: Roast, coffee, roast, chocolate, roast and repeat. And so intense! Amazing aroma, and you can barely smell the alcohol (and its 15,2% abv!). And even that little hint of alcohol does absolutely nothing to the aroma, if anything, it gives it more power. Taste: Very rich in taste, with lots of roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Taste of alcohol is present but its nice, pleaseant and warming. And again - taste is very rich, very intensive and in your face. Pure awesomeness. Mouthfeel: full bodied and almost flat. Overall: Another bottle please, this beer is insane and thats the way I like it! Enjoyed for a very long time from a teku glass. Beer was served in room temperature (highly reccommended!)

Extremely pleasant to drink. Not to much aroma, but that might be related to a bit cold serving temperature. Otherwise a fantastic beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle by myself 21st birthday baby ! Pours black as hell , foam is gone within seconds . Smell is not that intence ( roasted malts , oats ,..) Sharp carbo . Incredible taste ! Real hitter , extremely much , yet so balanced ! Where can you begin to describe this ? Bitter , some hops , chocolate , oat , coffee , honey , syrupy , surprisingly hoppy , sweet , thick ,.. Aftertaste is buttery . No sign of boozyness at all ! Im shocked . This , is worth seeking out ! Damn Very big thanx to inbreak for the bottle .. Awsome !

wow, a new taste at every temperature. New flavours constantly bubbling up when the beer goes from cold to a warmer state. Im not the biggest fan of stouts but this is an truly amazing stout!
