Shared bottle @ Cardinal. Black as black can be, packed with aromas. I really can’t describe this beer as my mouth got violated by all the flavors who wanted to join the game. The alcohol is well masked by all the flavors! It’s a really special ale which should only be experienced by all beer-geeks. A truly great collab. brew!

Bottle -
Smells gorgeous - smoke, soy, tar , brown sugar, alkohol.
Looks lovely - Deep black body, brown creamy short lived head. You can see how he beer really sticks to the glass when swirling it, probably the brown sugar.
Taste is complex, sweet - brown sugar, soy, smoke, woody, vanilla, the carbonation disappears quite fast but that doesn’t affect the beer in a negative way, I would rather say it’s better without.
It’s easy to forget that this little fella has a ABV at 17.2% - share it with a friend.

21st birthday baby !
Pours black as hell , foam is gone within seconds .
Smell is not that intence ( roasted malts , oats ,..)
Sharp carbo . Incredible taste ! Real hitter , extremely much , yet so balanced ! Where can you begin to describe this ?
Bitter , some hops , chocolate , oat , coffee , honey , syrupy , surprisingly hoppy , sweet , thick ,..
Aftertaste is buttery . No sign of boozyness at all !
Im shocked . This , is worth seeking out !
Damn
Very big thanx to inbreak for the bottle .. Awsome !

Extremely pleasant to drink. Not to much aroma, but that might be related to a bit cold serving temperature. Otherwise a fantastic beer!

#750 rating: 33 cl. bottle @ home – split by 3 with me taking +/- 20 cl. – purchased at Hopduvel – it comes in a cardboard box which I suppose is meant to justify the price, kind of cheep looking & graced by the usual Brewdog marketing text, not sure whether it is working, kind of doubted about this one but the actual bottle looks lovely, great design – pours pitch, pitch black with virtually no head – smell is very, very sweet, lots of molasses, toffee, liquorish, heavy malt and a lovely touch of soy sauce – taste is heavily sweet, molasses, lots of caramel, thick dark fruits, thick maple syrup, lots of liquorish, hint of autumn leaves, some oak, thick malts (touch roast but it is buried underneath the sweetness), touch dark chocolate, alcohol is almost entirely masked by the sweetness, only a slight nice warming ouch at the end – body is thick, creamy & molasses heavy, low carbonation – beyond the marketing, beyond the faux-hype this is incredible, much better than Black & significantly better than both versions of Tokyo* that I have had, maybe it is the horizon that makes this amazing

Shared with Evil stepdad, Beerbiker and The Bull. Black as motor oil, no head. Powerfull aroma! Roasted malt, chocolate, soy sauce, mild peat, cocoa, oak and barrel. The flavor breaks the 10 points limit for me, its that good. Amazingly complex and powerfull yet smooth and yummy. This is in every way a huge brew.

Bottle from Khioskh.
Black beverage, rapidly disappearing head.
Molasses, coffee, a hint of the alcohol snapping at your nose. A shipload of sweet malt, burned sugar, smaoke and oak. Incredibly rich.
