COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg/ bottle 2012 Prototypes release.
A hoppy, dry hopped low ABV reasonably malty pilsner. At 4.2% this amber hued little gem infuses wholesome BrewDog hoppiness with classic lager sharpness. Best enjoyed whilst whistling the European Union’s national anthem (does it have one), munching on a bratwurst and planning a weekend trip to Prague whilst listening to the Beastie Boys.

Bottle 33cl, kindly donated by Christian (Bièrerie). A clear yellow beer with low head. Nose is on grassy hops and fresh hops. Aroma is just slightly malty and sweet with a nice fresh hops bouquet on grass, herb, earth and light lemon, very nice, typical continental hops, good and refreshing. Like this even if less impressive than Dead Poney.

Bottle from the BD online shop. Fresh smell with pale bread and some hay. Similar taste with some corn flakes. Fairly fresh and easy to drink. A funky note that I relate to meat brooth. Besides that a decent lager. It doesn’t feel very hoppy though.

33 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via Brewdog online shop. Medium-medium dark gold colour. Aroma is balanced but full, cereal caramel with citrus pine hops. Sweet initially, then a creeping hoppiness takes over, with resin and honey on the finish. Great for its ABV.

Brewdog bristol. Clear amber, white lacing strong tangerines and peach on nose. High carbonation, shortcake note orange juice, not overly bitter. Sweet finish. Enjoyable.

Keg at BrewDog Camden, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, white film head. Biscuity malt nose, light floral hops, subtle citrus notes. Light to medium sweet flavor with big bready character, light honey, cereal, hay and floral bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with continuing floral bitterness, great bready malts. Wonderful lager.

Tap at brewdog. Dark amber with white head that fades. Lager aroma, little pissy hop. Taste is caramel, lager yeast, some pine. Crisp. Not bad but still a lager.

Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pours light amber with a thin white head. Nose is very floral and slightly citrusy. Taste is a light bitterness from hops mixed with a clear malt sweetness. Not very complex but very easy drinking and a nice dry finish. Thin bodied but straight up drinkable.

Scopey (3229) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2012
Tap at BrewDog Camden. It pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. The nose is pretty subtle... earth, grass, herbal, straw and cereal. The taste is sweet upfront, some ok bitterness, grass, leaf, spice, earth and cereal with a dry finish. Medium body and fairly harsh carbonation. I prefer 77 to be honest with you. Very so-so and a disappointment from BD.
