COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This bottle contains an India Pale Ale from a bygone era. An era of towering sailing ships, burgeoning empires and world shaping beers. This is an ale hand crafted with British malts and English hops to recreate the epic IPAs that were sent on monumental ocean voyages from England to India by sea in the 1800s.

Old World IPA is an attempt by punk post modern Scottish Brewers to pay tribute to a 200 year old odyssey and heritage with a healthy dose of swash-buckling adventure.

20.2.2014. Aroma of caramel malts, hops, not intense from tap. Strong fruity taste, also herbs and sweetness, dry and woody bitter finish. Also plenty of malts. A bit different from Brewdogs pine-grapefruit-bombs.

Bottle from Brewdog. Pours orange in colour, single finger white head. Aroma of fruits, floral and some light malts. Flavour features light malty backbone, some toffee, grass, citrus, lemon, orange, some floral notes too. Nice.

wimpyjoe (5090) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 28, 2015
Bottle from Cocktails, Littleborough. A cloudy amber coloured ale with practically no head. Full of hops and a slightly stewed tropical fruitiness, it’s a very tasty IPA that does not taste its strength.

Bottled. Orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, nectary and some mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is similar, but also has a bunch of grassy and earthy notes to balance the sweetness up. Actually a pleasantly balanced brew. In a way rather English IPA to the style.

[6828-20140926] 660mL bottle. Funky fruity old apples and mango hints and a lightly mouldy earth aroma. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter grainy malt and resinous hops flavour has a mild tropical fruit base. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

The beer might be a bit old, but there is little fresh hoppy bitterness. Instead a diffuse body taste dominates the beer. Not bad, but not what I expected from an IPA.

Bottle from systembolaget. Fading hops and some caramel and raisins. Pours amber with a small yellow head. Taste has caramel and some fruits. Palate is slick and oily. Overall a decent beer but really no blockbuster.

Sabores y aromas maltosos ligeramente dulces y afrutados tropicales. Cuerpo medio con 7.5 vol bastante buenos. Amargo no muy pronunciado y bien combinado con el resto.
