3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
66cl bottle from BD Camden. It pours a clear deep orange / reddish body with a small eggshell head. Aroma is sweet caramel, piney hops and some wood notes. Taste is medium sweet with ripen apricots, toffee, wood, pine needles and some dryer citrusy finish. Medium mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Overall, decently good ale and an interesting one, but Iíll stick to the new world pale ales.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Pours murky orange with decent white head. Lots of marmalade in the aroma, sweet orange, earthy spices. Very English hop. Taste is pretty damn tasty: great balance between the caramel and shortcake malt profile and the earthy, orangey hops. Pithy grapefruit comes in towards the finish, adding a pretty dry bitterness. The finish is sweet and fairly herbal. This has made me respect brewdog more - a very decent beer that's far removed from their usual take on things.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
660ml bottle from Brewdog Online Shop, shared at home. Pours clear golden orange, thin white head. Aromas are initially a little funky, soapy hops, biscuit and floral notes. Taste begins to let it down, light malts, light bitterness. One of Brewdogís less interesting beers, even if it is historically accurate (which I suspect it isnít).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
7th January 2013
Clear dark amber beer with a tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is slightly soft but with big minerally carbonation. Fairly rich caramel malt, a little cream. Pleasantly tangy orange with a good balance of bitter pine. Pinch of salt. Quite barleywine like but then it is on the last day of its BBE.

Big bottle in a tulip. Pours ruby/amber with lacy, beige head. Aroma of pale and caramel malts plus floral hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not great.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
April 2012. From bottle. An interesting IPA and definitely different from most others. Not as hoppy and much darker than other IPA. Still, itís complex and refreshing.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazed copper color with a strong white, lacy white head. Slightly sweet, definitively malty with a hop bite in the finish. Tasty and unremarkable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tampa, Fl - Total Wine - 1 pint, 6.4 oz bottle. Pours a murky medium orange, sticky eggshell white head that leaves some nice sticky lacing. Aroma has some sweetness to it with some dates and raisins, some sticky pine syrup. Flavor is very sweet for an IPA. Leans more towards a barleywine with prunes, dates and raisins. Very slight citrus bitterness. Some bread pudding sweetness in the back end. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Expected more.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle shared at beers of the world. I feel as this is not as fresh as it should be. Aroma is very sugary with a caramel malt and sweet pine sap. Pours thick and deep orange red with a good film. Taste is bitter and dry with pine hops, a sweet fig taste and a big malty back. Far too sweet. It tastes like the Squall IPA I left sitting in the basement for two years. oops.
